Patron Work Orders, semi weekly reset or what exactly?

So it seems that the patron work orders reset daily and also mid week but I can’t figure out if it is always the same day or it rotates?

Some people say it resets on Saturday some say every four days which means it is different from week to week. Is there a schedule, weakaura or addon?

Shrug I check every day after work before keys. Do anything that gives skill points and the blue dust stuff.

It seems we get some every two days
With a big batch of em on reset day.

Yep I seem to get 1-2 new ones daily and then they almost totally reset a couple times a week but maybe I should stop worrying about specific.

I’ll just check when I’m in town and deal with not being 100% efficient

yeah most of em lasts 3-5 days so its hard to miss em

I think the non-daily patron orders last for 7 days, but once that timer resets, the new ones aren’t generated until you log in to that character. So if you have orders expiring on Friday, but don’t log in to that character until Sunday, then when that character logs in they’ll get their new set of orders which will last 7 days and expire the following Sunday. That’s what it looks like with all of my alts anyway; since I don’t log in to all of them every day, all of their orders expire on different days of the week lol

I think new orders come in when the others were set to expire maybe? Worth noting the reset times and testing that - that may give you some orientation.

There are two types of Patron Orders.

Daily: They change at daily reset and only last for 24 hours. This is where your catch-up orders will be offered if the system thinks you are behind on KP and RNG favors you.

Seven Day: They last seven days and have the full range of potential rewards except catch-ups. They can appear semi-randomly throughout the week and do not seem to be tied to anything. Or there will be a ‘large’ dump of them when the previous weeks orders expire.

Thanks, so if I’m behind and looking for the catch up knowledge I would want to log in and visit the work table daily?

There are some daily quest drops and some quest drops that happen twice a week.

Correct. You are not guaranteed how many, or even if, will be offered daily. But they are daily only.

Knowledge Point orders reset every 4 days.

It would be nice if we got a bigger catchup headed into the next patch, whether it costs gold, artisan currency, a quest chain whatever

I don’t know. It never feels predictable across all professions.

My biggest problem is the catch up mechanic. I started a new toon and professions every week until I had all professions. Even my toons that were just a week or two behind, it felt impossible to catch up. Some of them actually kept getting further behind. So now I quit doing half of them about a week ago.
