Pathing Exploits Discovered in dungeons

I have discovered some degenerative gameplay found in ZG, Mara, and even the last boss in DM:E.

In ZG, it is possible to exploit pathing on mobs like crocadiles. Fresh level 60 mages in all greens are able to kill large packs of them by simply jumping up and down from a rope on a bridge. This is an unfair advantage that has led to many gold sellers leveling fresh level 60 mages and selling exp boost runs. ZG is a 20 man level 60 raid.

Maraudon has a similar circumstance where a fresh level 60 mage can aggro mobs and then jump to a small pillar back and forth to reset the mobs. I don’t think a pack of mobs should be tricked this easily.

Worst of all the final boss if DM:E is outwitted by a 2 foot ledge. Leading many ranged classes to be able to solo this boss. They are then able to inflate the economy with limitless arcane crystals.

Please fix these pathing issues. There already have been plenty of changes to boss mechanics such as landslide. Would like to see these fixed as well to provide a more rewarding experience.

Can you also confirm that abusing pathing is allowed under TOS?

abusing pathing is not tos, they were in there during vanilla but were not used as much and as such were never fixed. Since its using the original reference client, it’s just part of the game now.

They’re just mad that the Landslide Exploit got fixed.

you know op, paladins can do a similar ZG pull and DME solo runs too, and I vaguely remember seeing a video of a paladin doing some kind of large mara pull as well.

Actually, we can do this as a holy paladin as well. This is intended, and fine. Part of classic.

But, since now you know you can do it as a paladin in about the same amount of time you can stop complaining.

You’re welcome.

We can and we do. We do it the same way as mages. It’s pretty great.
