Pathfinder Part 2 Debacle 2.0?

I thought Blizz said back in Legion that they realized releasing flying right before releasing a new no-fly zone (Argus) was a mistake they wouldn't make again... but isn't that exactly what they are doing if they release flying along with Nazjatar?

Did they say flying would or wouldn't be restricted in Nazjatar or if it was unlocked threw content in that area?
sigh, more people that just want everything handed to them without having to work for anything. I like using ground mounts, I hope they stick to their guns and don't release pathfinder until next year when 8.2 comes out. No more catering to people who don't want to work for flying, work for gear, work for reputation, work for gold, work for immersion.
The whole pathfinder part 2 is nonsense anyway. Anyone still subbed at this point most likely isnt going anywhere anyway. 1 pathfinder per expac is enough.

This. It's not about not wanting to work for it. I have had pathfinder 1 unlocked for weeks. I'd happily grind my way towards whatever's required for pathfinder 2, except I can't because that option hasn't been made available yet.

By all means, if you prefer ground mounts, keep on using your ground mounts, but that doesn't mean everyone else should have to do the same if they find flying more fun.

You should work for some more achievement points before you use the tired old "you just want stuff handed to you" line. Get on your ground mount and pound out some achievements! Don't expect me to hand you mine!

Here's a clue for you. You can't work for flying. Best you can do is pathfinder part 1. Then wait a few months. Then do pathfinder part 2 when that's finally released around 8 months after pathfinder part 1 was released.

Pathfinder is the biggest welfare program ever. You work for a week, sit on your butt for half a year or more, work for another week, then fly around and brag how hard you worked to earn it. You just want flying handed to you for playing the game and waiting. You didn't work for anything. :P

Waiting for a time gate != working for something. I don't care about pathfinder. What I hate is the time gate waiting until I can even do pathfinder. If you hate flying then simply stay on your ground mount and don't fly. It's that simple.

Um... I wasn't asking for flight to be "handed to me without having to work for anything".

My original post was questioning the issue of releasing flight at the same time as current content will have us in a no-fly zone, which is something Blizzard said they wanted to avoid this time.

Historically, new "islands" added in later patches have been no-fly zones. If Blizzard intends to stray from that design philosophy this is an opportune time and topic to let us know that. :)

Waiting around for 7 or 8 months to start the second part is now considered 'work' I guess.

Speaking of working for anything, what have you done this expansion?

We used to work for every single character to get flight. Now, you just do it on one character and voila, every character gets to fly.

So, which method hands everything out without having to work for anything?

Yes but that is your opinion. You forget that millions of people play World of Warcraft for millions of reasons. Not everyone can play it the way you play it or for that matter want to play it the way you play it. I know I do not. It is wrong for them to lock things behind a vast amount of achievements or for you to want them to design the game to fit your own taste and needs. Millions of players now have families, careers, and aging parents to care for. Millions of us still enjoy the game but can not devote the kind of time required to accomplish all that is demanded to reach a point where we can truly enjoy the game. Being able to fly should not be any more difficult than getting to a level where you can use ground mounts or fly at level 60. I for one have just stopped caring and stopped logging in and no doubt will soon cancel my three subscriptions and walk away from WoW just as have millions before me. All the demands now placed on players to achieve more than many of us have time to do in a reasonable amount of time has taken the joy of logging in and the fun of playing out of the game. Over the past ten years I have seen other games come and go that were suppose to be the "Great WoW Killers" and yet none did. What is killing the game for many are all the demands and restrictions the Blizzard game developers are forcing players to do is the only thing I've seen in 10 years of playing that is killing WoW.

The point is, you can't fly underwater.

8.2 will unlock flight after completing PF2

8.3 will present a new underwater zone.

Enjoy flying for 3 mos out of the 2 year long xpac. LOL

Haven't you heard? 8.3 will bring a new, shiny underwater zone. If you could fly in Vashj'ir, then you'll love flying here LOL
It has reached a point in the past 30 days (the entire month of October) where I just did not want to log in because there was no sense of wonder and excitement in doing do. The very few times I did log in thinking of all the things that are just basic requirements placed on players makes WoW (an open world game) feel like some king of strange version of Diablo style game where one must follow a pre-planed path that players are penalized if they choose a different path. It feels so much to me like I'm forced to start at A, go to B, then proceed to C, after go to F and now you may go to G. The game has lost all sense of adventure and exploration for me. Before you reply with the dumb a answer of why don't I quit - well in all actuality I have basically. The issue is that I feel forced to walk away from something I truly love because I feel the other party is being abusive and uncaring.
