Agreed the time gating part is pretty terrible and why I tend to wait until middle of a expansion to sub.

Yeah, that is the crux of the entire thing. That gap in time doesn’t help anyone. It’s a timegate for the sake of a timegate.

I’m sorry that you got your feelings hurt. But there are many replies from me throughout this thread that have nothing vulgar or upset in them. But people are not rrading or comprehending what I and others are saying because they have their heads in the sand when it comes to blizzards design choices.
It’s been this way for years and has been killing this game.

That is an acceptable point of view but in many cases you would be wrong. There might be a few folks out there that defend blizzard just because they are blizzard but most are people that just happen to agree with them. Agreeing with the developers doesn’t mean someone deserves to be treated in the abusive way you have done here. Nor does it mean they are some sort of butt kisser. Anyways when you come out aggressive you detract any point you have and not because the facts become less facts. But its a human response for people to only notice the aggressive behavior and take defense.
Just wanted to add. Keep your chin up however the past has shown blizzard changing their view on this sort of thing more then once when it comes to old content. Keys and Attunements comes to mind for an example which was removed in WoTLK to allow people to do old content without all the hoops. Then again they nerfed old content so everyone could solo it. So I have no doubt in my mind they will eventually one day remove pathfinder from old content.

Flying made this expansion so much better. Just make flight friendly zones. This is getting absurd. If World PvP is a big concern for people they can just have warmode disable flight.

I will. Like I’ve said multiple times, vanilla was designed without flying. I’m not worried about walking til 40 or being slow til 60 and then never flying. The issue I have, which you would know if you bothered reading is not with lack of flying.

Why does something need to be “current” to be considered relevant?
Of all the flight options which used to cost gold, only ONE is required now.
…so people just want to wait around until stuff is handed to them?

Pathfinder 1 is fine, I understand Blizzard wanting to make sure you know the layout before flying thru.
Pathfinder 2, well I am ok with the discovering the locations and doing the main questline part. But the rep grind is a step too far.
(I could even understand a system that made you go around and bribe all the flight masters)

Yes, grinding the rep part should let you bypass the gold cost. I fully agree!

I was there in BC, but gold gave options since it didn’t matter how you got the gold (apparently craigslist was an option I hadn’t considered lol).
just give me 310 ground speed mount. while on road/trails/paths. and i wouldnt even need flying.

Pathfinder isn’t content though. Those reps are useless if not in the current xpac. Legion rep? Pointless. What does Nightfallen rep give? Nothing useful. If you are a hardcore collector of mounts and pets then great, you will be grinding the rep anyway and that is your content. But without relevant rewards, these grinds are bad and should not be considered content.
And like I said in a previous response; I’ve experienced tons of ‘content’ both past and present. I’ve done crazy grinds and enjoyed them. Pathfinder is garbage.

I’d buy 10 WoW tokens or quit if people could just buy flying at the start. I know that I’ll never get the gold in game and it would take over a year to finish the pathfinder

I took my main back out to the Gnome Island even though I already told myself I wasn’t going to bother with the grind this time. I literally stood in middle of the camp and didn’t move. I couldn’t do it, I hearthed back to town and logged out.
I cant fly because I’m not going to play content that isn’t fun to me. That is my reason, it simply isn’t fun. You want to gate it behind rep, thats cool. Add tabbards back to the game. Let us gain rep in battlegrounds and dungeons.

Your argument that old rewards must be earned is total hogwash. Players that have been gone since classic can come back today and get all expansions except BfA absolutely free.
