I don’t understand why people hate pathfinder so much. Sure blizzard can make change the way it’s acquired or make it easier but people that want it outright removed are just lazy. The world feels more alive when everyone is on the ground. Sure flying is more convenient but the world feels dead when everyone gets flying.
Achieving pathfinder should unlock flying in all previous expansions. That’s the only change I REALLY want.
Minus the rep requirement and time-gate, it would be fine. Exploration and story completion is not the problem.
The world feels more alive to me when I can fly. PvP is not a concern because I will never PvP in the world. Flying or not.
FF14’s way of unlocking flight in zones is near perfect.
Part 1 is fine. Part 2 and a nearly year long wait to fly are not (imo anyway).
I believe the only change that is really needed to it, is the time it takes them to release it.
I don’t mind working towards unlocking flying, but the wait between the start of an expansion and part two of the Pathfinder achievement process shouldn’t be a year later. 4 to 6 months is ample time to have gotten a feel of the lands from the ground. That’s my take on it.
It’s a nice middle ground I agree but flying still ruins mmos
No the world feels more convenient when you can fly. Stop telling yourself this lie.
Part 1 to part 2 needs to be like 3 months not a year.
Patchfinder is in its final throes.
The level squish was an admission that players are not going to be grinding four separate patch finders to reach the new level cap of 50. In fact, my prediction is most players will choose to level in BC, WotLK, Cata, and MoP from 10-50. Meanwhile, Legion, BFA and WoD will be dead zones. And only reason BFA will have some life is because new players will be forced to level in BFA zones from 10-50.
This is what you decided to make your first post on the forum? A clear troll bait thread?
And…it’s not fine. It’s horrible and terrible and strings players along for the sake of making them grind for months on end for something we used to get right away. Blizzard used to design the game to be fun. Now they design it to be potentially fun…a potential that’s used to manipulate the players with pointless time gating for features like flying.
Its not so much pathfinder thats a problem… its the timegating.
No, the world feels more alive when I can fly. I don’t care about PvP. I never group up for quests on the ground, so flight doesn’t change that.
I don’t care about “seeing” other people. I see them enough in zone chat.
Flight is fun. Not flying is not fun.
No this is my alt.
I knew I’d get hate for this but I want to put my opinion out there.
Believe what you want but unpopular opinion ≠ troll post
Ah yes it’s in its final throes
I love when people make vast claims with no evidence backing it up
Blizz says over and over it’s not going anywhere
That’s because blizzard doesn’t want the no life players to get flying in a week and have a huge advantage compared to the average player, especially in pvp.
That is what they said about classic and pruning. I think I am on the right side of history on this. Plus, my source tells me that patchfinder is going to drastically change for shadowlands. Stay tuned!
They never said anything that you just claimed
Not once did the changes of bfa mentioned to be set in stone like pathfinder is
Nice try bud
The pvp argument is dumb for timegating honestly…
That will happen regardless, there will always be people who are also too lazy or do other things that dont care about getting pathfinder right away…
A month or two of time gating is fine, a year? No.
I’ll also add it was just available for gold in BC-Panda when you hit the right level, it didn’t effect pvp then, Idk how people argue this as an issue now.
Didn’t blizzard state that pathfinder will not change in the q&a
Maybe I’m wrong tho?
