Blizzard specifically ion and Morgan has acknowledged that moving forward they will give people normal flying easier instead of forcing them to do reputations/renown grind and just let them unlock it through these requirements:

Getting to max level

Explore all the zones including major patch zones (War within will change this to just the first four zones instead of including patch zones)

completing all campaign (war within will have you complete just the leveling four zone’s campaigns and not including patch campaigns like dragonflight)
In my own eyes, this is good news by making it easier and not complicated is a good thing. Normal flying is most used for many people and these type of people don’t like it when normal flying is made annoying to unlock. And another good news in the war within blizzard will most likely remove the requirements for shadowlands flying and let you fly by default.
Let’s face it normal flying is used by many people and blocking normal flying by making them to do excruciating work for it is just not okay and I am glad blizzard started to remove pathfinder requirements since the launch of 9.1.5 patch and going forward it will be easier to get normal flying just like in dragonflight (though there was a time dragonflight almost had you do renown grind but was dropped due to feedback) and in the War Within will mark the first expansion to make normal flying easier to get with no renown requirements.
