Pathfinder 2 or focus on 8.3 only

Im a returning player, i left soon after the new area started and missed out on pathfinder 2, came back a few weeks ago and im enjoying 8.3, BUT … my question is, should i even attempt to grind rep to finish Pathfinder 2 and fly in BFA, since shadowlands will be coming out soon and I prob. wont even return to BFA as I was not a fan. should i just focus on 8.3 and corrupted content until the patch drops? or grind out rep for the two remaining factions to unlock flying in BFA, will it be needed going forward. thanks

I don’t quite understand what you’re asking.

If you already have part one, part two is pretty easy. Unless you are really restricted for time you shouldn’t have much problem working on both.

But if he’s not going to play, why do it?

Because it makes doing 8.3 easier? And with all that is going on in the world it’s looking more like SL might not be here for a while so he might as well do it just to kill time.

But he said he’s probably not going to play BFA… that’s what I find so perplexing.

Pretty sure he meant when Shadowlands gets here he doesn’t plan on ever going back to the BfA zones and is asking if it is worth it just to fly till SL. Not that he isn’t playing now.

If you ever come back to BFA content in the future, you’re going to really miss flying.
Dunno if you are a collector at all, but BFA is loaded with mounts, pets, toys and transmogs.
It would also make unlocking an Allied Race a lot easier if you ever want one you don’t currently have access to.

Ohhh. That would make more sense. Thanks.

Im sorry, it was confusing, my bad. yes, i dont plan on going back after shadowlands drops.

You may need to grind rep for essences which will get you in range for Pathfinder 2 anyhow.

I did one faction at a time. I’d login, do a couple of dailies in a zone and then do something else.

You can do it all just by doing emissary quests and doing that one daily in mechagon.

Why even sub? Why even ask? Shadowlands is probably a good 6 months out at least.

i presume the old flight license will still work in uldum/vale without pf2, i can’t imagine the gauntlet you’d be running by being grounded in those invaded zones

I am able to fly in Uldam/panda area.s Thanks for those that had thoughtful and kind responses, i appreciate it. I do have to return to BFA during 8.3 stuff for some world quests, and I will prob. follow some suggestions, work on each zone do the dailys then move back to ignoring them until the nxt day. I just did not know how important the BFA zones would be once shadowlands dropped., thanks again for the replys.

I’d probably dive into the 8.3 stuff first and get set up. After the initial burst of content, maintaining your character takes ~3 hours a week so you’ll have plenty of time to work on pf2. Plus, by the time you get most of the essences you want you’ll be halfway to pf2 already.

You probably have until Nov/Dec of this year (and that is if it doesn’t get pushed back over covid-19), so that is more than enough time to finish up second stage of pathfinder months before SLs is released.

With all the time from now to SL, I would just go ahead and finish the last parts to get flying. Also if you plan on leveling alts, it’s nice to be able to zip around from quest to quest.

Mechagon can be pretty fun. Only do it if it’s fun to you. It’s a game, should be fun!

As for Naj rep, do WQs when the embassy is up. You’ll get there. ^^
