The draenei are one of the most disgusting races in the warcraft lore.
Not only did they name the orc homeworld after themselves like the pompous sociopaths the entire race is but the draenei for thousands of years went planet to planet running away from the legion… giving no warning to the natural inhabitants of the planet the doom they were bringing.
The path of Glory is justified because these filthy creatures had it coming.
Look at AU Draenor.
They bring nothing but despair and destruction

This is true!
Given that they’d been running from the legion for thousands of years and their stint on Draenor (200 years) was seen as an outlier in how long they were able to settle down, that works out to a lot of planets dying due to the Eredar and Draenei playing hide and seek.

This is true. How many worlds were destroyed because of them I wonder. They knew the Legion was still following and just planet hopped when the current one they invaded was wiped out.
They didn’t even decide to tell the other races on draenor to set up a proper defense instead they were just going to planet hop the moment the legion showed up again and let the planet burn
Who only needed a comment from disembodied voices to go on a genocide spree?
Who only needed minor encouragement to drink demon-blood and build a giant portal and invade an entire planet to continue said genocide spree?
Who, when told of the impending evil Legion, decided to industrialize and still go on a genocide spree, and still build a giant portal and attempt to invade an entire planet?
If only they had let the orc shamans know about the powerful being known as “the deceiver”, maybe they wouldn’t been… deceived by him?

I want Draenei players to know they’re playing the most cowardly race.
Cowardly? Sure.
But I’d contend they’re most known for their arrogance.
They put the wellbeing and comfort of themselves ahead of countless others, and even chose to name existing planets after themselves. They thought they were too powerful for the pitiful orcs and ogres to be any threat
but
they
were
wrong
As in, the Orcs, with but a word from their ‘elements’ never stopped to consider their actions and fully raped, murdered, and enslaved the Draenei.
The orcs never questioned it. Never considered the screams, as they slaughtered women and children, and enslaved them to have their souls consumed for the Shadow Council and the powering of the Dark Portal. And that was before they even drank demon blood.
War is hell dude.
You think the Alliance races never killed women and children?
Hell, you can roll a dwarf and within a level they’ll be asking you to kill ice troll children. (Yeah I know they embiggened them in cata but they didn’t change the name)
They could have exterminated the whole orc race if they wanted to, but blizzard didn’t want to kill one of their flagship races with logic.

I mean, you’re judging a race of people who actually do what disembodied voices tell them to. Unlike us, Orcs always revered and listened to the wisdom of their deceased ancestors. And since the Draenei has colonized the planet without much interaction with the Orcs, they didn’t bother warning them that powers beyond what the Orcs could imagine could impersonate one of their ancestors.
By the time they built the portal, they were under the control of the Burning Legion. And again, they didn’t have prior knowledge to the demons and what they did. As far as they were aware, their ancestors felt that the invaders were dangerous to their way of life. And the Draenei hadn’t spent a lot of time trying to convince them otherwise. You’re judging them based on what we know as humans, not what they knew as Orcs. Different lives, different environment.
You repeated yourself here. The portal was built after the higher ups were all under command of the demons.
The Orcs are definitely not absolved of blame, but the Draenei are actually the reason Azeroth ever got invaded by Orcs to begin with. The Draenei are inherently good, nothing they do is out of malicious intent. But their cowardice is why Azeroth suffered from the Orcs and why Draenor was destroyed. Who knows how many worlds they’ve led to the same fate?
It’s definitely an interesting situation to consider.

That’s in reference to WoD, when Garrosh came through and told them about the Legion, and Demons, and the Shadow Council. They still went through with the genocide of the Draenei, and still built the Dark Portal.

Azeroth’s invasion was set long before the Legion ever found Draenor.
10,000 years prior to the invasion, Sargeras found and desired Azeroth as a result of the magical meddlings of Azshara.
The Draenei only settled on Draenor ~ 200 years prior to the Orc invasion of Azeroth, over 9,000 years after Sargeras found Azeroth.
Sargeras also spent a great deal of time trying to get to Azeroth in those intervening 10,000 years, and the defeat of Demon intrusions was why the Guardian of Tirisfall was created.
To be fair it was the Legion’s purpose to destroy and conqueror worlds for their bases anyways, Draenei or no Draenei Sargeras the Titan assembled them to eradicate life across all worlds in the WoW cosmos.
