Shouldn’t we start by questioning if this patch is even necessary? This seems like a patch driven solely by the Blizzard devs’ desire to “create a game that people will enjoy.” Frankly, it all just feels like a waste of resources—both time and money. I don’t think this is something that needs to be added. Design, scripting, maps… a lot of time and money would have been spent implementing these things, all for content that people are unlikely to enjoy. And it’s essentially the same as that patch we saw in DF.
They could have just added everything in 11.1, and it would have been more than enough. If they redirected the effort used on this patch into 11.1, wouldn’t it bring the release date forward, even if by just a week? People would probably prefer that.
Most of the posts in this forum are complaints about the turning issues, which could be fixed with a hotfix. It hardly seems necessary for this to be content for 11.0.7.
Not really much of that though, these are all reused assets. They’re even reusing the annulet & gems. Different names, same braindead design. Best part is this random Azerite-stricken island that dropped out of the Pantheon’s dimensional pocket is supposed to be the lead-in to wherever we’re going in 11.1.
A lot of classes require some sort of work on them not just number tuning, there is a fair share of imbalance, especially when it comes to mythic plus but blizzard seems to focus most on Revamping Timewalking transmog. It doesn’t bode too well sadly.
It was alright, but it didn’t move the needle far enough for me. The writing was a little better than the awful stuff we got with World Within though…I absolutely hate the supporting cast characters they gave to us there. The paladin lady missing the arm, she’s simply awful.
This is a filler patch for a filler expac. Most of the stuff used in .7 and 11.1 is reused assets. They are hopefully setting up a world revamp for Midnight.
