Yeah, the final surge is a catch up mechanic in the final week of the month for people who didn’t max out their tasks for the trading post. You can double up on tasks essentially for the last push and get whatever the reward is for that month.

Final surge is always there in the log, it runs for the end of the month as a last push for your completion

So far every patch this expansion has been about every 2 months .

The problem this time around is that most of the fixes done to make the game less crap is in the content itself, not in the classes. Like tanks getting less abused is done through making dungeons do less dmg instead of buffing tanks so even if we get the patch without the season it won’t really do anything.
Prot warriors are still butchered too.
