I looked and looked and can’t find it. I’m looking for the patch notes for 8.1. It’s probably glaringly obvious but I’m as dumb as a stump.
No official patch notes yet, just datamined collections of 8.1 PTR data.
Expect patch notes on Friday at the earliest, probably more likely to be Monday the 10th to be honest.
There was a 16gb download last night but that isn’t anything until next week? Not trying to be a douche, serious question. I am a noob I apologize.
Yes, it’s just a predownload for the the patch data. They get the bulk of it out early and they’ll push any additional changes since then on patch day.
They stopped doing in-progress patch notes in Cataclysm. It was stated that it was too difficult to keep up with the changes. We only get notes once the patch is released now. Even then they aren’t always complete.
Usually the patch notes come the night before the patch.
Thank you!
There appear to be some pretty big performance enhancing updates that probably required replacing a lot of code. WOW 8.1 should run much smoother with today’s multi-core CPU’s.
Rygarius made the best patch notes but since he left it seems like less time is spent on them now.
I miss the CoffeeBird.
Do you have a source for this? I’d like to read up on that!
“Aren’t always” is an understatement. They are never complete.
Not a dumb question. It was most likely a prepatch download.
Blizzard has for awhile now done the pre-patch download a week before the patch. They did it all throughout Legion etc.
Here ya go!
Excellent, thank you!
Here ya go!
Well it isn’t being released until the 11th, so they still have some time to add or remove things before then. They generally don’t release patch notes until the day before or the day of the patch anyways.
esp it the goal is to sneak something by such as ilvl scaling.
Horde will get 24 different mounts to collect…
All that is need is friendly…
Alliance will get 10 horses and 1 pony…
