If nothing else it means that people who did not automatically update REALLY should if they dont want to be stuck dealing with login servers.

Most likely they’re pushing a fix to live, but then they still need to test it and maybe do more work.
The current estimate is still 50 minutes from now, unless they go in for third extended maintenance.

To be fair it’s something you have to do. there’s just another testing phase before you push it to live that should happen.
but after you push it to live you do still have to double check it.
