“Forget.” Nobody is going to forget…but we’ll still have dozens of threads about playtime refunds, people using vacation for some reason, and the people whose only day off work for the entire year is on this specific Tuesday.
And if we are lucky we’ll get a few threads threatening legal action. Those are my favorites.

I actually do have Tuesday off because of this arctic blast over SE Texas.
Also have today off because of MLK day.
It’s going to be tough going back to work on Wednesday

I’ve been playing PoE for like 4 days now, so I am actually not going to be bothered by downtime or random bugs and shutdowns after tomorrow. It’s kind of refreshing to step away from WoW and not care that the servers are going to be down all day.
If you are one of the people who demand Blizzard refund your 5 hours of lost time because of an extended maintenance, I highly recommend that you pick up a different game, for those moments. Any game. It doesn’t matter. Free to play, pay to win, mobile, console, some emulated NES game, just find anything else you enjoy. There’s so many games, there’s got to be one other game you like.
In any case, save it for days like tomorrow. Who knows, maybe you’ll have so much fun, you’ll step away from WoW for 1-2 weeks or even months at a time. Something very interesting might start happening to you, as it does to me. You’ll start dreaming about WoW when you sleep. You might have a super amazing dream that makes you want to play more than ever and then, and only then, if the servers are still down, I will understand you demanding a refund.
People also creating the usual forum posts about “Redeem me my 1 day lost of playtime”.
Well if they don’t read the announcement on the login screen I’d bet they won’t read this forum thread.
So any jokes made their way here probably won’t be noticed.
