Cause it is a form of media hype. They usually start figuring out what is going to be pushed to the final product and start talking about it a week or so prior to it launching.
In other words: it is soon.

It’s like dropping a teaser trailer for a movie. A quick glimpse to start up interest.
I would definitely think the PTR is going to start very soon though. It could quite actually be any day now.

This topic deserves a thousand replies.
Just a way to ‘entice’ players to stay subbed or at least keep some interest. Me thinks there is quite the mess there with morale and confidence [in players sticking around to play the stuff they design(ed)].
There are two possibilities here:
- There is a top-down paradigm shift that is happening, with the new Co-Presidents encouraging more open communication with the player-base of the respective Blizzard titles.
- Blizzard is actually in panic mode as many have theorized and this is evidence of that panic - throwing out what tidbits of information they can to placate players.
I personally lent the doomsaying 0% weight before some of these announcements. Now however, I can see a window through it might be possible that events have impacted them in a way that has caused a loss of confidence.
Nothings really changed much since forever why complain now? Some of you just never happy they start communicating then it comes to this to funny.
This will indefinably be a “Please Don’t Go” mini-patch.

That’s how X.Y.5 patches always work though. They’re hold-over patches until the big content drops. There’s nothing shocking about that at all.
Didnt they only like show a tiny amount of customization for nightbyorn and lightfyorged?
Yeah, all they’ve shown so far is tattoo colors for LFD and jewelry options for NB.
It was pretty clear that those were just a sneak peak though, and the initial announcement said, well, this:
so we’ll see if they deliver more.
they are telling us what they are planning to do next not what they are doing right now that is why they show us the 9.1.5 stuff because they want us to know they have a plan.
