Heads up collectors, in upcoming Patch 9.1 the Pet Journal cap will be removed. There will still be a limit of 3 per non-unique pets, but other than that… 
So don’t buy the Pet Journal increase items for Polished Pet Charms if you can help it. Plus there will be a 10k PPC vendor pet in 9.1 heh.
For most pet collectors, that’s awesome news.
I imagine there will be some grumpy Guses who will be mad because they just bought journal limit items and now they’re unnecessary. 
If the Pet Journal upgrades gave you peace of mind and removed the stress and worrying about whether or not you’ll hit cap, have to cage/hang onto/postpone collecting pets until 9.1 (an unknown when), etc. then it was worth it IMO.
I think they should give our charms back then lol
Aaaaaand there it is. No angst, though, so that’s good.
While I’m not going to be unhappy if they don’t, I feel like it would not be unreasonable for Serr’ah or Lio to mail 1-2k PPC to the folks who already bought the upgrades. Even if it doesn’t go towards the 10k pet, it’s only like 10 pets worth in SL.

I bought, and used the increase items way back when.
Even so, I could see a time when I’d be out of space.
I am happy with that addition. sure in hindsight i ‘‘wasted’’ 1000 pet charm to buy an inventory upgrade last year but it was long ago enough i dont feel too bad anyway and i still used some of the space it gave me. at least the 800 ish charm i was hoarding to buy next upgrade can be used for something else now
I am happy that there will be no cap, and yes I bough the higher one back in BFA. I was always keeping it to 1 pet now I can do the 3 pets of each non-unique ones…so happy…was not able to sell the crappy duplicate holiday ones, now I don’t need too…woot!
The cynic in me wonders if the change was because they kept getting asked to increase the slots by people that had no idea that they could. 
I’ve been waiting for this, and just came to the forums to submit this suggestion again! I’m so glad they listened. It was hard to stay under 1000 pets, when there are more than 1000 available, so you couldn’t even collect one of each before.
But you didn’t have to stay under 1000. The current cap is 2000 if you had done the achievement to get the 1500 cap item (Pocket Pet Portal) and then purchased the 2000 cap item (Interdimensional Pet Portal).
