Patch 8.3 and the next expansion Predictions?

I know it’s too early to make guesses but anyone have any predictions about what will happen in 8.3 or the next expansion?

I have a feeling that the whole Tyrande thing in Darkshore or something might be expanded on during the next expac, just like how Genn caused the faction war in BFA.

The next expansion “WoW: Cost Cutting” will be smaller, be almost entirely neutral, use a ton of recycled assets, and won’t have any players left because everyone will have already left after BfA.

And neither Tyrande nor Genn started anything. Sylvanas launched unprovoked attacks at two races that both walled themselves off to be left alone, and has to suffer the consequences of her insane warmongering.

Where is this fantastic Kool-Aid you’re drinking and could I try some?

Greetings, I would like to make a guess. I would predict a new class, a new NPC-leader, more Allied Races, and quite possibly a significant faction leader death.

New Class: I like the idea of a Tinker-esque class which has been floating around the forums a bit. I think we are due for a new healer of some sort.

With every expansion comes new areas or expanded lore. I would like to see a new NPC come into play that becomes a member of either factions council. One for Horde, the other Alliance.

Obviously since Allied Races are a feature that is here to stay, I would assume more races will come to aid the faction war on behest of the respective faction that aided them prior. Or hell, maybe even a new race in general.

I would assume a significant NPC will bite the dust come next expansion in order to provide a ‘new spark’ to expand on the faction war. Probably Sylvanas, or Velen.

I am on the boat that thinks the next expansion will be a Void/Light expansion. More space, new worlds. Although, to adventure to the other side of Azeroth is a pretty tempting conversation.

Anyways, these are my thoughts.

I mean in my defence, that was what was written in “A Good War” Sylvannas said the Alliance couldn’t let go of their prejudice for the horde because of Genn’s attack. So Peace with the Alliance wouldn’t be truly possible etc.

it’s weird sure but, that’s what was written down.

Sylvanas also said that humans wouldn’t accept the Undead.

Then, when humans began to accept the Undead, she killed both the humans and the Undead.

So, the fact that Sylvanas said it does not make it true.

They wouldn’t.

Those are the human that agree way beforehand that they’re about to meet their undead family.

They are screened.

Still doesn’t alter the underlying point.

Or the acceptance of DKs.

There are no underlying point, Turalyon and Genn would’ve killed Alonsus had it not for Anduin interfering.

Anduin wouldnt be there everytime human attacked undead.

I like the sound of Tinkers and with the recent mechagon I think the possibility of having that class is becoming more and more possible.

as for the New AR’s and I think considering the setup in bfa that would be Vulpera, new Gnomes, Jinyu, and Gil-Goblins. Though i assume Blizzard won’t have enough dev time to fit in both a new race and a new class

though the Light vs Void expac thing sounds a bit less likely usually because blizzard sets the next expansion up early on during the current expansion (Why I mentioned Genn and sylvannas) but so far haven’t seen much light or void in this expac aside from the Void Elves.

I honestly hope next expansion cuts back majorly on story line because honestly this might sound insensitive but who cares about the story just shove some generic easy story… like the one we already have… sigh… then spend an entire expansion dedicated on class balance then whenever they have classes in an acceptable place with everyone participating with balance via polling and such then we can move forward from there. A fun game has fun classes, this is needed badly I think.

Well I’m sure the writing department will get right onto that balance problem.

8.3 is likely N’zoth. If Azshara’s not the last boss of the expansion, in all likeliness he is. Theme for next expansion could still very well be old gods though. We’ve had for the past few expansions lead ins, so having N’zoth or even Knaifu release the Black Empire could happen.

Fair enough point perhaps I should say they put more money and resources toward class balance departments by taking from writing

The central conceit is that “humans would never accept the undead”
Anduin interfering and the subsequent summit proved that it was possible that this is not the case.

Patch 7.3 will likely be a true old god patch.

While next expac I think, will be a Bolvar expac tbh. The Bolvar we knew is gone.

Night warriorism shouldn’t be expanded on tbh, there’s not a lot to it tbh, it’s just being blessed with Elune’s vengeful side.

And Genn did not cause this faction war. It was purely Sylvanas who wanted it. When she invaded teldrassil and started to kill innocents with the Horde helping her, the war began

Like i said, those undead and human summit meeting were screened, monitored, and failed.

Thinking of Old Gods too! but i’m wondering about what could have caused it… Blizz usually hints at it witch each recent expac WOD had the eredar in draenor, Legion Had Genn etc., I was thinking that for this expac it’s either something to do with Tyrande, or Xal’atath

The screening failed. Right up until Calia started raising hell things were going pretty well. Had she not been there, the summit more than likely would have been a success, Undead reuniting with their former families would have shown to others that they aren’t all monsters, and a huge step forward towards lasting peace would have been taken.
Not that I’m saying everyone would just flip the switch and be all pro-undead. There are bound to be people who won’t to say otherwise would just be stupid.
But so is sticking to the line “white people will never accept black people” just because there are still racists 50 years after segregation laws were abolished.
