Yeah, this is really what the forums are for. Here, they are two-way communication between players and devs. To make it work we all need to be honest. I wonder if the content creators did us a disservice hyping up the make or break nature of the patch. Sadly there wasn’t much that could be done. Same team, same tired ideas, flying still not added back to the game since MoP. It’s discouraging.
So the patch is a bust because you didn’t get high ilvl weapons on release day?
There are actual problems with the game. This isn’t one of them.
Considering you only clear LFR, barely did 10s, and have no pvp achieves no wonder you think the rewards are good. Same with class design.

I know right. It took several months to come up with two islands with only some quests in it.
I find it hilarious sad that they think that this will be enough for the rest of the year or until the next expansion comes out. This reminds me WOD.
Nope not really. I thought there was going to be a lot more from what they have been telling people. I guess the hype on the youtube channels went overboard. This is horrible.
I have to completely agree with some of the posters above. When I saw the zones it just hit me yet again, more rep grind just to unlock pathfinder 2 for flying and possibly future race. That’s literally it.
I wouldn’t even care if this was FUN but it isn’t. It’s really boring, tedious and feels like a chore. The wqs are the same old concept there is nothing new and exciting.
If not for pathfinder 2 or a possible race unlock why would you even grind these wqs to begin with?
I am sure with the time gating it will last quite a while.
This type of time gating does not make things last. It just makes people mad and gives the idea of unsubbing from the game and never looking back. I just wish I did not buy the 3 months or so for this.
Rest of the year? Doi this is it until 2021. Even if they announce 9.0 at Blizzcon, if you figure there’s going to be a garbage 8.2.5 and a garbage 8.3, people better settle in to the current feature presentation, because this dumpster fire will survive the next US election cycle.

BFA is just trash. Still time-gated content, no new raids, no new dungeons until 2 weeks. Just the same thing, kind of wish my friends didn’t sub back. I rather not spend $15 on BFA. The content is so boring. Just like other guy said it really took them this long to create such a terrible patch, but this is what WoW is now.
The nostalgia and exceedingly high expectations is just so … ridiculous in this thread. It’s a patch. Not a miracle cure to whatever game you were expecting. If this isn’t the game for you, then you may be leave. There are many, many doors to choose from and this one wasn’t it.
The phrases of “I want WoW to WOW me again, man! WotLK was to tight!” that’s great. Yes it was. It was great. But if I had THAT game for 10 years? I would be soooo bored. Change is good and it brings new crowds. Moving on is a great human venture that everyone should undertake.
I feel like there’s a lot to do with both zones in terms of character progression. The essence feature allows for a bit more customization which I like very much.
I’m not going to complain yet. I’m still adjusting
8.2 is fine. People that play need to accept that this game is a casual MMO at this point. You can farm 425 gear through daily quests and the only thing that really requires work are 1-2 mythic raid bosses. There’s not even a need to grind a water mount.
The problem with the game isn’t 8.2. 8.2 is like a girl you hope to meet at a bar, pretty yet shallow but fun for a few weeks. But enjoy it, it’s a good time dungeon and raid are A- , B+ and the simple azerite system was even more simplified.
The issue with this game is that it lost its soul a while back. Anybody can farm heroic-mythic gear and earning something from hard work doesn’t matter anymore. If Blizzard turned up the difficulty on questing to the equivalent of the mage towers, there’d be more incentive to actually get better and not watch people stand still when things blow up or drag trash all over the place.
8.2 gives us a pretty color scheme, the art and music are great and the story is not terrible at all. Just make the game harder, put in more difficult options. Today I was doing a gel line quest and the add behind it showed up and feared me. I loved it! Warcraft caters to far too many people that subscribe, complain, and run.
Anyway 50 people complain, thousands don’t, but because they don’t the developers think somethings wrong.

I’ve accepted the quest, but thinking of waiting until Thursday before I do it. I still have some alts to level and also working on the last allied race to unlock.

Considering i play casually nowadays this isn’t nothing new but got legion AOTCs and still liked that exp, besides classes not being any different than now lol.
And yes the game is rewarding you for wpvp, random pvp, world content, warfront, raids and m+

I never said anything about having to get mythic clears or needing anything above 2200 which I have :). But when you do the bare minimum this expansion and talk about how the reward systems are fine, I’m going to call @$@$@$
You’re deluding yourself if you think the reward systems in this game are anything other than garbage tier. The fact you can get heroic level gear doing LFR type content where it’s possible to afk and watch netflix is disgusting in an MMO.
The fact you can get mythic quality gear in heroic from titanforging, the fact that almost all of the gear is bland with no unique set bonuses and azerite completely failing.
The fact that you can’t choose your own gear in pvp, they took away pvp vendors because they don’t like players making interesting choices and they don’t like players having a guaranteed reward they can work towards.
How is the game rewarding for world pvp or random pvp? You don’t get honor for killing people which you can then exchange for a piece of gear you actually want. You get a useless fill the bar quest that rewards a piece of gear that’s either completely garbage, or 30 item levels below what you need.
Speaking of which, what is random pvp and how is it different form world pvp? Do you mean BGs? where they added gear scaling so your gear, which has a horrible attrition system, doesn’t even have that much of an effect. Which makes the whole thing feel pointless.
World content… so you must be talking about world quests which offer no unique rewards, no unique questlines like surumar, no mobs are a challenge in even the slightest sense, and doesn’t even incentivize grouping up with other players. What great content, how rewarding!
Warfronts… If you think warfronts are rewarding there isn’t a point to having this discussion. Absolute trash content made for people who struggle in LFR to receive free heroic gear. Disgraceful.
Raid encounters have been fine this expansion I’ll give them that. But there’s no point rewards wise to raid anymore. You get no real benefit in the open world, mouthbreathers can play warfronts and get heroic quality gear, heroic raiders can get mythic item level gear which invalidates all the time investment to do mythic raiding, etc. Mythic + suffers from a similar problem. What’s the incentive to do m+ past +10?? Just for points on raider . io?
The fact that class design has been watered down and gutted to cater to people who are too lazy to master their class. Class design in BFA is worse than any other expansion and it had already been going downhill for the past 4 years.
