Okay this is bull, why do we have a release date for classic that is not even available till august, but we don’t have a release date for 8.2. it doesn’t make sense and it’s stupid for making us wait for a freaking release date.

Eh, I’m not in a rush. I’d rather they do it right the first time, and besides, it’ll be here soon, it’s on the PTR.
with the impact essences are gonna have they can take all the time they need, if those (and the raid encounters) aren’t squeaky clean on release the uproar is gonna be something we talk about 10 years from now

Because Classic will release 8.27.19 … it’s in the books. It’s on them to iron out the bugs before that, but the date is set.
8.2 has no date set because there’s still a lot of testing to be done. I can’t tell if you’re tired of waiting, or you just don’t like uncertainty. If they announced that 8.2 would release 9.15.19 would that make you happy because now there’s a date? Or more upset because you have to wait even longer?
They haven’t even begun testing the heroic warfront, or added/tested the S3 affixes for M+. Those will need a few weeks of testing, then iteration, then more testing. Essences are still in need of balance & tuning as well. This content update is nowhere near ready for release, no matter what you might have read on Wowhead, MMO-C, or some Reddit thread.
She said 77 cycles. Typically speaking a cycle refers to a complete planetary orbit, so a year. Supported even more so by her reference of how long they’ve been studying G’huun.

Hopefully sometime in June at least.
FFXIV releases a major patch on July 2. 8.2 will release the same day.
Also major patches always have a two week warning for the arena season. Every major patch in wow has done this since TBC. Look for the arena season end warning. BFA season 2 end of season warning will go out on June 18th. You can set your calendar to it.
Bookmark this post and check it on June 18th and July 2nd.

They are not going to release before a holiday. No one will be at work to fix what breaks… and something will undoubtedly break.
That said, it is possible it will release a week before, or a week after.
Maybe you can help speed it up. Hop on the ptr. I’m finding bugs every day.

Pfft. I am almost certain there is a direct correlation between people complaining about something not coming soon enough and a steadfast refusal to help it along.
Considering the vast amount of people that are betting the farm on this patch to whether or not stay subbed or call this expansion quits, and that all of this is entirely resting on the improvement of the major feature failure of this expansion (Azerite Armor), I am going to say that both parties should be patient.
Developers should ensure this patch and its systems are balanced and bug-free and tested like their game’s life depends on it, because it does.
Players should be patient about its release so that they can actually have a chance at getting the patch they want (have asked for), and is able to meet their expectations.
I know I am a fool, but I still have faith they can turn the ship around. I truly hope so. I love the game and want to see it succeed.
