According to MMO Champ, the patch is live tomorrow. Far as I can see, there are maybe 6 new pets in this patch:

Lil’ Nefarian - free for logging in during 15th anniversary.

Rikki - new recruit a friend reward.

3 butterflies - Stormsong Valley, 2 are looted from treasures & 1 off a rare to do with the new bee faction being added. Far as I can tell, you don’t need to be alliance nor have the bee’s reputation to get these.

Jenafur - looted off Jenafur, presently no info on where this mob is found.

From the Journal on the PTR it’s one of the chubby cats. Really surprised it’s only the second time the model is being used. I figured we would have seen a bunch by now along with that shaggy terrier type dog model that was new to BfA.

There’s Smoochums;

He’s sold by a sort of hidden vendor in Drustvar. A couple of his pets are unlocked by Alliance only quests, but Smoochums can be unlocked by both factions.

6 new pets, but only 3 (butterflies) will be collectible right at the start.

edit: Sunsoaked Flitter was uncommon (green) quality when added to the journal on the PTR, so probably safe to say the other 2 are uncommon as well. Save/buy 3 battlestones to upgrade them.

Unavailable at the start of 8.2.5:

  • Lil’ Nefarian - Available in November
  • Rikki - Whenever the updated RAF program is released (unknown when)
  • Jenafur - ?? Might be available, but no info on how/where. New Secret?
