Patch 8.1 is not a patch

Here look at wowhead for info.
took off because of concerns.
This has to be the most disappointing patch ever. It very limited. Has only a few things interesting. Not enough to keep most interested for more than a few weeks at best. If wrong. I say go ahead and educate me.
I am trying to fine somethin g positive to tell friends to come back. Honestly can not come up with anything.

New raid, new islands, new quest chains and world events… perhaps it would be easier to address your concerns if you told us which in-game content you do want to do?

Well considering that is fixes a sizable portion of issues, I’d say it’s something to look forward to.

raids not do till January in next patch. Did not no about chain quest or world events thank you. Just trying to get friends back. patch not looking good.

Nope not even close. A patch would have a long way to go before it under performs the selfie patch.

oh the selfie was bad, but was fun. I have picture of wow playing thinks to camera. some with my son and now dead friend. I admit that that. this one looking bad from my prospective. Like I said I can be wrong.

The patched fixes a ton of stuff and adds a ton of stuff. What would it take for the patch to look good for you?

This is easily the biggest first patch an expansion has seen for sure.
Part of why is absolutely because they rushed the release and many of these things should have been in the game on launch, but frankly if you need to be told what’s coming in the patch to believe its going to be worth your time, then it isn’t worth your time.

For me, the class changes, changes to rep especially for necks, changes to leveling, and of course the new raid are more than enough for me to be excited, and absolutely enough to disqualify a notion such as “its not a patch.”

That’s just really silly to say and basically tells me you put no time into your education on this topic.
A raid alone would make it a patch, if you are looking historically. They don’t just hotfix raids in.

War Campaign…

Story questlines…

World events…

Just saying, there’s more to unpack there. Might not be content everyone wants to do, but there’s more to it than plenty of other previous patches.

During beta, I made the comment that this expansion felt worse than WoD. The azerite system was a disaster. By the time they fix it in this expansion… the next exp will be upon us… and they will likely completely abandon it for a newer more broken system. Once you’re exalted with all the factions, which I have been for awhile, there is literally zero to do. Do a raid… do a key… that’s about it.

Yeah like I said. No raid in this patch. raid in patch 8.1.5 . Wish people read that much. The rest are things that should of been hot fixed in.

Patch 6.1 from WoD, the “Twittter Integration Patch”.
… which, to my knowledge, no one ever really used.

There was also that Patch 2.2 which added voice chat in during TBC, which was nothing short of a colossal flop and essentially unusable; guess the massive wall of content to do throughout TBC kept people busy and it went unnoticed otherwise. People kept using Vent and other programs.

Patch 8.1 is at least adding SOME content.

The raid is in this patch, and opens early January. This is how things have been operating since the previous expansion, so I wish people had at least some historical understanding of how content is released in the modern game.

Nope. Additional raid in 8.1.5 – read more carefully. Battle of Dazar’alor is a raid that, while not available on patch day, will be available before 8.1.5.
