With the nerfs to Mythic+ next week, the players with tanks as their mains is about to become obsolete for many players since they will be having to shift from mythic+ to raiding due to the loot system nerfs to mythic+ next week which makes end game ilvl superior from raiding, many players that have tanks will now have nowhere to go to obtain the highest end game player power since the majority of guilds and pug groups for raiding don’t have any tank spots available due to raids only needed two tanks. These loot changes have now ruined the population for tanks in this game for many players when it comes to other end game activities like mythic+ since mythic+ is now nerfed for end game loot. If Blizzard is going to make mythic+ inferior to raiding, then they should at least create more tank spots for these players that can’t find a raid group to tank for due to raids only having two spots available.
Do you mean the 10.1 loot changes?
Cause I can’t be bothered sorting through all the D4 news on WoWhead/MMOC, but AFAIK they aren’t changing M+ for 10.0.7 which is next weeks patch.
I was about to say i don’t remember seeing anything for m+ loot changes.
Unless they change the group structure, tanks will never be obsolete.
Loot changes are for 10.1, not the filler patch next week.
I am very confused about how you reached this conclusion. Both M+ and raiding will drop the same upgrade currency and share weekly caps. What makes you think raiding will be a superior source of gear?
This just in: Old Man Yells At Cloud. More newa at 11. Back to you, Tim.
Or they’ll just play m+.
Many players that do m+ don’t want to raid no matter what. Like it’s way easier to schedule m+ runs than getting a raid group together.
M+ is just the child stuck between 2 marriages. One will love it and the other will hate it.
Always more back and forth but it will get praiss and hate. It’s the WoW endgame. Yoi xan take it or leave it. shrug not much else to do unless you go roleplay or something.
Or go play SWTOR
What nerfs? Nothing is changing about loot in 10.0.7, nor 10.1 for that matter.
either a troll post, or the OP just doesn’t understand the new loot system one bit ![]()
No, he’s correct about 10.1.
In 10.1, M+ drops cap below Heroic Raiding. And there’s only 2 spots for tanks per raid so…
Not correct about this coming week though.
which is what it is now. +20 is 405ilvl. There is still the valor upgrading system which I cant remember what the currency is called now. Nothing change other than raids can now upgrade their gear for doing higher raids.
The difference is the gear you get from drops now is useable with valor upgrades now.
It won’t be in 10.1.
They’re trying to avoid people farming +2s for BiS gear and just upgrading it, and that will unfortunately also affect gear that directly drops from even +20s and not the vault.
it’s still slightly the same. It can still be upgraded. It’s just called a different currency than valor
To a limit.
That’s what you aren’t understanding lol.
Gear that drops at a Normal Raid item level will forever be capped at a normal raid item level. Which is what +20s drop.
Say you get a +2 drop and it’s, for example 2/8 LFR level. You can upgrade it to 8/8 LFR, but if you want something higher than that, you need to get a Normal quality or higher version of the item.
They don’t like that M+ players cna gear faster than raiders.
trust me it wont make as much difference as you think it will. If anything it’ll make it faster as there is no valor cap anymore. And the great vault wont be changing
The development team for WoW’s poor decision making has inadvertently made healing harder which has pushed away players from healing in mythic+ and has now made tanks more scarce since the gear nerfs from mythic+ is no longer competitive with simply doing a heroic raid and there are only 2 tank spots available.
First of all, loot isn’t changing until 10.1. Second, loot will work the same way for both raiding and M+. The only difference being that tier won’t be dropping from keys.
Well that is a pretty big change. Didn’t they do that in 9.1 or 2? Thought one of those systems was really punishing for people that didn’t raid.
Maybe 9.3, but you could convert your M+ gear so it didn’t matter.
