All past quest progress seems to missing and much of my reputation as well. I tried Chromie but didn’t help reset it. It was jarring enough to come back to half my levels missing and no boost after buying the Midnight basic expac. Now it seems all the work I did in the past is also gone? The achievements are still there, just not the progress. For instance, I played through Suramar and did all the withered training etc. Yet on return, Thalyssra is mana staved and the place is in ruins as it was before beginning that questline. No idea what to do. This cripples my gameplay.
When you say you tried Chromie, do you mean that you asked Chromie to send you to Legion time, or that you asked Chromie to return you to present time? That could make a difference.

will take you to what the WoW Web API believes you have and have not done in each expansion. The addon BTWQuests, which you can get from Curseforge, will show you what quests the in-game API believes are open for you.
They probably won’t tell you anything you don’t already know.
Other things to consider:
-
Are you sure you did the quests on that character? Achievements are account wide, so while I see your account has the Insurrection achievement, that shows you have completed Suramar, that wasn’t necessarily completed on that character. Mightyouhave done it on another character?
-
Did you ever change faction on that character? Faction change can mess up various things in your history, though I didn’t think Suramar quests was among them.
Even if the game has somehow lost part of your quest progress, it doesn’t necessarily cripple your character. You can still choose another expansion and level from there, even if that isn’t ideal.
If none of this helps, your next step would be to create a Support Ticket, and see if a GM can unravel the mystery.
I have never changed her faction, so in narrowing it down - that is one less possibility. The issue this problem is causing for me is decor for housing which I no longer have access to due to progression of questing. I will go through the process of checking my alts today but am fairly certain Bessah should have those completed. The loss goes back to questst from a long time ago not just Suramar.
I could take years rebuilding all of that but I would really rather have it resolved lol I have looked at trying to open a ticket but it seems I can no longer find that option - tons of self help etc but how the heck do you open a ticket these days
Not a good look for Blizzard when someone gone for years comes back to something like this…
First, doublecheck everything.
A lot of people return after years. I follow the help threads, and I have never heard of a case where the game has lost a character’s quest history. Never.
I do regularly see cases where people have forgotten or misremembered what they had done in the past.
So from my viewpoint and experience, it is most likely that you are wrong about which character(s) did Legion. I could be wrong ofc; it’s possible.
Blizzard do try to avoid tickets. I understand why, but it is very hard on people who have real problems.
There is a Get Help button top right of the Support → World of Warcraft page. That will allow you to enter a ticket directly if it comes to that.
If you end up having to re-do an old expansion or two, it certainly won’t take you years - a few weeks perhaps, depending how many hours a day you play.
I did some digging and found an alt with some of the missing stuff. I redid several zones on my main, and straightened it out to the best of my ability with the time I had. It will definitely slow down acquiring the decor items I was after but I can fix it more over time. I have never seen this happen either. From BC til I took a break, all expansions were seamless (minus the hiccups everyone had here or there). Not sure if it was the amount of time I was gone or something else. I’m just glad I had input from you folks to help point me in the right direction, and want to say a big thanks!
