They’re not talking about alts on other accounts. They’re talking about alts. On the same account.

New expansion, log in, get your party of your main, your tank, your pocket healer, and 2 more DPS. Play the game once, level 5 toons at the same time.

So, no. Not going to happen. If you want to do that, you’re free to multi box and pay for 5 accounts.

You seem to be under the impression that regular partying should also be prevented. From your description above, that’s clear.

I understand the idea, and not downplaying it… but for me at least, I’ve never thought about that… when I think of my alt, I want to play it, … if I am going to have an AI, Buddy, Bodyguard, it was cool having some known figures in WoW lore be with me in Legion, but I think ultimately it can’t be anything forced to play.

I like the ideas of the body guard, buddy system, but I wish it was better implemented into missions where I can pick daring fun missions into unexplored land that I can say, ‘‘ok I’ll take these three to aid me’’ but also have options like we do now to send them on their own.

I think the rank system they have for 8.2 is cool but I heard it takes a long time to level so shoot…

TBH would be cool if all ur toons can attempt dungeons or raids even tho I doubt they would let you do those with this system.

This would be a neat idea. I’ve always wanted to run my Paladin alongside my Druid.

They had a chance to do this with Garrisons. Would have been sweet to have your alts on the same server wandering around your garrison.

Or even be able to send them away on missions… (meaning you couldn’t log into them until they were back! :wink:

Or as a combat ally… would have been sweet!

But they weren’t interested then, and I don’t think anything has changed since.

Yes! I want my characters to be able to interact with each other in some way. Even if our next “hall” is just a lobby for our alts.

I want all my toons who choose sylvannas to team up then all my toons against her, also all my toons tht choose N’zoth gift, those who did not, the “evil” classes, the “holy” classes, “magic” classes, “nature” classes.

I really like this concept of being able to pal around with my alts, though I think the idea of being able to level 5 dudes simultaneously isn’t something Blizz would be keen on.

Something that I would LOVE to see along the same idea if being able to use one of my higher level characters to “Mentor” one of my lowbie alts while I level. I could have my Demon Hunter or Druid be a tank for one of my Healers I’m leveling. They would be scaled down to match my level but it would be a body I could have meatshield for me so I can focus on healing.

Op,so you want a AI to help you.Well,you are going to get a minion soon.But as for an alt ,I don’t know how that’ll work out .If it were an AI alt hmm,I wouldn’t much like it ,It might be better than me later on and who would be the main then.

I like the idea. Like WoD and Legion followers, but the toon that follows is chosen from your account, so the familial friendship is real.

I would love this, so very much. Like everyone else, I do the same quests over and over to lvl my alts. After a while I don’t even read the quest box because I have just memorized ‘what I have to do’ and ‘where I have to go’. Even letting my alts quest in pairs would do wonders for making leveling seem less like a boring slog that I can only get through by watching Youtube videos on a separate screen. I don’t have cash flowing out from everywhere so multi-boxing is not an option for me either.

This has been suggested many times, actually.

The last thread on it was during Legion.

I agree that it would be nifty. They could balance it in the same way they did Meatball, and such, with just a “hunter archetype” as your “Hunter.” So think just whatever Vanilla Hunter type bodyguard, but it looks like your Hunter character (with their current pet.)

Even in Europe!

I really like this idea. I have a lot of Alts. I would love to run dungeons and 10 man raids with my alts rather then LFR. I play solo quite often. It really is disappointing not being able to obtain much of the higher goals of the game simply because you don’t know enough people

Bump!

Good idea although i think it would be a little op for 4 of your alts to be in a single group. As for having 1 alt as a AI body guard is a good concept and could be something to look at if blizzard is watching this thread!
