Party sync is total fail!

Who ever came up with the idea party sync , need a mental evaluation ASAP. Why? there isn’t much to explain because party sync is garbage, especially for random groups vs random groups.

Yes they scale a player to specific level, and his ilvl as well, but it doesn’t work.
A dps warrior soloed dungeon cause he was just synced down to our lvl, and he face rolled trough appropriate level dungeon. Not to mention random BG.

Working as intended. You can solo dungeons in heirlooms at the appropriate level.

Was it an endgame player?

We’re right at the end of the expansion where there’s been a much bigger difference between levelling gear and endgame. Dungeons are still appropriately challenging for people in the middle when scaled.

Failure though? Absolutely not, it’s made levelling a new character so much easier. Me and friends are levelling a number of characters and now you can basically choose the map you want to level on no matter high you go. It’s very possible to do both WoD and Legion in Classic maps if you want.

party sync is a good idea, get high-level players playing with their low-level buddies… but in practice, high level players will just roll a new toon and level along-side their buddies.

party sync is kind of a waste… and the fact it locks quests sucks.

Correction:
Party Sync Implementation is a total fail!
It doesn’t disable azerite traits, corruptions, or anything else that’s been bolted onto the player.

Or last check skills for a DH and DK when under their starting level.

K… I soloed the entire left half of Blackfathom as a 23 hunter because the rest of the group was for w/e reason going north to the last boss room killing every single mob and I did not want to be in there for 45 min. And when a max level syncs down trinkets and gear effect are turned off for them, all they got going is azerit and stat sticks.

I mean, it’d be kinda dumb for it to straight up go “Yeah, you’re level 32, you get… Death Grip and Death Strike! More death for the death god!”
The whole thing, tbh, has a heap of problems, when scrutinized, and I get that it was put in with the best of intentions, but they should have put some more dev time in.
Say for instance, you’re a new player and a party-synced mythic raider and the guy they’re synced with around level 90 (so basically you’ll have all your skills by this point) are part of your dungeon group.
This mythic raider that’s synced up will look dis-proportionally stronger than everyone else, and now the new player will think that the mythic raider’s class is just completely broken, and could possibly;
A) Reroll in the hopes that they’re given all that power too
B) And less likely, but still possible, will just quit over the power disparity
C) And most likely, just say nothing and think it’d quite a bit odd

Either way, it makes for a pretty sloppy show, and doesn’t really represent the MMO-Team styled game they thought they signed up for.

Party sync is by far the best feature added to the game in a long time. It’s been needed forever, and it’s awesome. There are some bugs with certain quests that can’t be completed while synced, but overall the system is great. Yes a 120 will have the highest stats possible due to their gear scaling down to as if they had all optimized purples on while leveling. But this only won’t happen for non-synced players because they’d outgrow the gear so fast. Either way the system is absolutely terrific, can join a friend whos leveling without ruining their exp, redo quests at max level to help someone who just came back to the game, etc. Party sync is anything but a fail.

Have you party synced? All of your azerite gear/corruptions absolutely disable. You even lose the ability to use many items that honestly shouldn’t be disabled. They, if anything, went way over the top of the max level stuff they disable, which they probably did because they knew stats would be slightly higher.

Well i would not agree with you.

Beause high lvl player who is synced down to certain lvl, still will do highest damage , and in BG he will top the charts. For pve is fun, questing and stuff, even in dungeons when you clear it in less then 5 min. But in pvp is not

While you are slightly stronger, it’s the same as if a friend ran you through a catchup dungeon from the previous expansion (lets say you’re on BFA 110-119 range), your level synced friend will have around the same amount of power, actually less since trinkets/azerite/corruption are all disabled, than if your friend ran you through some mythic legion dungeons and geared you for the level you were in. If anything, the solution to this would be to bring back stat templates in PvP, but everybody complained when it was actually balanced and skill based, so Blizzard has to pick one side to go on, and this time they decided to go on the “players gear matters in BGs side”.

I disagree, cause Party Sync are a form of “join phase” in disguise.

Gear matter sure with party sync. So what blizzard is trying to do is force leveling players who wanna pvp to get best possible to gear at that level, so they can match up scaled down players who have max ilvl for that sync.

You can still kill a party synced player in a BG as an unsynced player. Yes they will be more powerful, but it’s not overwhelming unless you’re running around with greens on from 2-3 expansions ago.

Working as intended.

Hmmm…so this is quite similar to pre 7.3.5 situation. That’s a bad juju

Like back when FotM classes was a thing and every man and his dog would roll on the OP class.

Doesn’t quite work unless you know the class and have as you said, the gear to go with it. I seen a monk earlier at 430 iLVL pulling 10K HPS and 2K DPS.

I mean as low level player in BG you already are limited to few spells with small damage, and do the xp boost people have scarce gear.

Again in pve is perfect, in pvp is not. 2 high lvl player who sync down can easy win the BG for the team. Don’t try to correct me cause i tried that with my guild member and we topped the chats for victory. Big advantage

This is always a fantastic way to start off feedback.
