Filtering people from joining pugs because of their parses is up to the person running the group. I have only really raided with my Guild so I don’t have to deal with any of that nonsense.

If you want to be competitive in your “hobby” go find a game that caters to this. WOW is not competitive and never will be.
I tank mostly. As long as I hold threat and my DPS is not in the toilet, I couldn’t care less about big numbers.
