I agree
I see this community constantly just parrot what they hear or are told to believe by others. Curious but do most of you just not come up with opinions of your own or just lack the knowledge to do so? Makes these forums incredibly boring when people state things as fact and then when they are asked to explain their stance they just panic and say some irrelevant nonsense or immediately flame someone for playing x class.

I mean 99% of people aren’t good enough / haven’t accumulated the aptitude to be able to come up with their own opinions, so it’s easier to just vomit what you hear others day.

You need to have an acute understanding of the game to formulate why you think certain things are good and or bad. Most people that play WoW are absolute dog at the game, majority of forum goers included.

This isn’t a phenomenon exclusive to WoW, it’s endemic to global society. Outrage and regurgitation is weaponized and it takes a fairly high level of self awareness / willingness to recognize your capacity for it and stop yourself from leaning in to outrage / regurgitation, because both are really seductive.

They’re also low hanging fruit. People are lazy, and mostly dense. Why take the time to think about anything when you can just copy paste what you heard on Fox News or CNN or anything like that. Why take the time to look at your surroundings and figure it out for yourself.

Story-telling is the most powerful thing in the world ultimately, all anyone is doing is telling stories (news, politics, WoW). People are seduced by story and react to what they’re told.

here’s opinions nobodies ready for

prevoker is the best healer in the game but 99% of healer players are way too incompetent to play it at it’s skillcap

feral druid is one of the strongest melee in the game but every feral player sucks

mw is bad but nobody knows how to fight it both crane and caster

destro is 5x better than demo

ret paladin is still the best spec in the game

dh and assassination never fell off, the majority of their respective playerbases are just 1800 capped players that can’t actually play them

no mage spec is bad and 99% of fire mage players are unironically bad players that only actually played mage in bfa/sl when fire was more like demon hunter than actual mage
