Paralysis question

Been playing my monk recently. Why does this still put you in combat if you walk in front of the mob while CC’d, but not Dh’s imprison? I’m not sure what Sap does, but it’s noticeably worse than DH’s.

I guess the difference is if a person is paralyzed, they are still aware of the world around them. In the case of the rogue, they are technically bludgeoning their head to render a state of unconsciousness.

As for the demon hunter… they took everything good we had and got it better. That’s the only explanation I have for them.

Edit: I will say though that paralysis can work on any non-boss mob. That’s the only advantage we have over the demon hunters imprison, where they can only use it on 3 mob types. common mob types, but still limited.

that’s fair…didn’t think about that. You are correct, a lot of stuff imprison doesn’t work on.

I like this explanation. Going with this train of thought, if a DH IMPRISONED you in a cage you would still be very much aware of your surroundings.

My new headcanon is that demon hunters are just regular old night elves and bloodelves that are tripping on drugs and throw syringes at people to knock them out.
