Parallels settings on a 2020 Intel

I’m wondering if someone can offer some advice on how to fix some settings on parallels 18…

So I have a mid-2020 15” MacBook Pro which is Intel based. I read mixed reviews saying that sometimes Parallels works better with performance with WoW because of windows, but I’m struggling to get more than 10fps.

At first the settings that were set on Parallels was to have the graphics at “best for Retina display” but that pushed the scaling to 400% and after tweaking… 300%. Even the mouse in WoW was tiny at that point… and if I change the resolution it becomes blurry.

At that point I changed parallels settings to scaling and I tried different resolutions to no avail…

Those of you that do have Parallels… can you offer some tips on how I should set the graphics on the parallels application itself and what scaling is recommended in WoW? If anyone can help, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

(I do plan to upgrade to the m2 pro whenever it becomes available, so that’s another reason I’d like to figure the settings out before then. That way I can play WoW and Diablo 4 when it comes out!)

Sounds like us Mac users are getting the shaft with diablo 4…i was just about to preorder it but alas…no way to play it on a mac. What a huge F-you to us mac users.

Why are you running parallels just install the native mac client.

No it will not run better with Parallels for one obvious reason and that is that Parallels can’t utilise all you memory nor cpu’s nor graphic power. Just run Wow natively please.
Not sure what MacBook GPU you have, just the Intel Iris or some Ati Radeon which is okish for low quality WoW, the Intel is going to be a challenge.
As for Diablo 4 don’t try to run that thru Parallels I guess Crossover will be beter for that but I doubt the performance will be great.

Anyways there are some threads on Reddit about MacOS gaming and Parallels & Crossover for tips and tricks.
