What in the world are they thinking? Lets not only lock them behind grinds, but even add having a character on the other faction!? Even my alt isn’t up to exalted with reps, but you’re expecting pet/toy collectors to have it on both factions?

This is truly horrific. Never in the history of WoW has any content or rewards been faction specific…except for all the ones that are.

If you’ve got the time to come to the forums over pets/toys, you’ve got the time to bang out rep on the opposing faction.

I see no problem. BfA is almost two games: one for Horde, another for Alliance. Leveling content, max level questlines, rewards are entirely different for each.
You don’t need to play seriously and raid on both factions. But I seriously advise experimenting the world content on both sides, BfA feels way more fullfilling that all.

… if theres ever a chance for mounts to be put in i want them lol cause even if i dont get them this expac i may go back and try for them in the future.

I hated it because it was completely random. No good luck protection. Farming rep for over a year, feeling forced to do every Emissary quest daily on multiple characters was not fun.
I really would prefer if those mounts were not only rare drops, but could be bought from the rep vendor with Curious Coins as well. Since each Paragon Chest rewarded 1-2 Curious Coins, you’d eventually be able to buy them. It would take a lot of time, sure, but you could track your progress, and, if the drop came out during the grind, you could instead buy one of the other mounts.
Instead, I ended up with several characters having 150+ Curious Coins that were useless. Fortunately, the last mount came out around a few weeks before 8.0 prepatch, so I didn’t need to keep coming back and do those old Legion WQs anymore, but I pity those who were not so lucky.
TLDR: I’d rather prefer if they added some currency to Paragon Chests and let us buy the rewards with it, instead of using rare drops.
Outside rare drops, I like the paragon system. It keeps reputation rewarding. I just don’t like the rare collector items being totally random. At the very least, some form of good luck protection would be welcome.

I think that is your problem right there. Acquiring things has a cost…time, gold, patience, luck, etc… But acquiring a pet, mount or toy is not a necessity, your progression is not stunted because you do not have them.

At least Legion boxes you didn’t have to play both factions to get the items from said boxes.

There’s that word again. If you want a bonus or perk-type of item, then put in the effort to get it. If the effort is deemed too much, ya don’t get it. That’s kinda how life goes.

Why yes, I won’t be getting it because it requires you to play both factions and have rep at exalted for particularly no reason to try and entice people to spend more time playing.

Oi… I’ve been lazy on my one Alliance 120 because Kul Tiras is sooooooo lame. I guess I should pick up the pace on him.
I could agree with the curious coins idea since they werent as common, but to me it wasnt different from farming a dungeon on multiple characters for ages. And putting it in bfa so early gives more time for chances, but theyre not putting in mounts so meh… i just like mounts ill fond a way to them eventually unless they remove it lol
My first wave of alts are getting close to exalted now with horde, but I’ve been slack with alliance. The highest there is only teetering between honoured and revered.
As someone who only ever managed to get two mounts and a dup from Legion paragon, I’m happy to see the end of mounts in these boxes.
The randomness of it. My stormheum drake missing says hi. Never took a break in Legion. Got paragon caches all the time. Never got the drake or the high mountain moose. All I could do was hope every time I turned them in.
