I think a good alternative to the old version with long pointless grinds for mounts, as well as the very bland rewards card punch program of the new version, would be to have a chance to get a renown reward that you haven’t purchased for items yet. This way there’s still that random burst of I got something cool and now I don’t have to get the Items to trade, but you don’t feel like you have to do it for ages to get s a mount that has no other way to obtain.
