I am coming here now more out of desperation.
I am working on some crafting and part of that uses Magnificent hide from Pandaria.
I already have the Hardened/Accelerated Hardened Magnificent hide recipes but I don’t have the normal one. When looking on Wowhead I see it is a worlddrop and people say to farm this and that and you should get it after ~50ish kills on average…
I have killed 1000s of mobs all over Pandaria in the past couple days and gotten a drums recipe drop but no Magnificent hide drop.
Can anyone tell me if this is normal RNG or have I missed something important in having this be able to drop?
- I am full Pandaria LW (75/75)
- Level 50 (alt)
- Killed hundreds of mobs in each of these zones: Vot4W, Timeless Isles, IoT, ToT, SoO
Any advice is appreciated.

So… after going back Vot4W and killing another ~1000 turtles, I decided to do some more internet research.
Well, apparently you can now just buy this recipe from “Clean Pelt” the leather working trainer in Kun-lai Summit.
