…Are all humanoid races based on mammals that have fur coats, and if you are a pandaren, worgen or tauren calling a person a furry for playing a Vulpera, congratulations…
You played yourself.

Fascinating
I’ve seen a surprising amount of people denying that Tauren are a furry race. It’s pretty strange.
Compare the designs.
Honestly compare them. Pandaren, worgen and tauren have nothing to do with usual furry design choices.
Vulpera on the other hand seems to have been made to appeal to that community.
I do this, because in my opinion, they are more hairy than furry (based on hide thickness).
Tauren are the original furry race and it is funny how mad some people get when this is pointed out uwu
Samwise is literally a furry and pandaran are his fursona lol
…
Pandaren, Worgen, Tauren, and Vulpera are furries. There’s nothing wrong with that. Doesn’t mean the players are furries, but they’re like, the textbook definition of fursonas.
^^^
Thing is GD has stimulated a toxic culture of segregating vulpera players as being furries IRL as if they were different somehow from people playing the other races mentioned.
Stupid vulpera. They’re ruining WoW.
It’s not a matter of fur or hide or anything. If something’s a humanoid based on an animal, it’s considered “furry”. Even animals without fur, like birds or reptiles or what have you.
You are splitting hairs. The irony is amusing.
wrong Worgen easily were first to be “made” for furries but even before hand furries just rolled tauren. there is nothing new about vulpera that weren’t already available in game that appealed to furries.
I googled ‘Do cows have fur’, and this is the very first response at the top of the page:
Hide definitely plays a part in determining fur/hairy, and that’s how I view Tauren.
Today in WoW forums Zoology class…
No, worgen were specifically made to avoid furry aesthetic. Which is why the female worgen ended up as a disaster in live when they looked better in alpha.
Vulpera’s eyes and everything is more in line with the furry side.
It’s… Not a matter of if they have fur, though. I literally just said this. It’s the fact that they’re based on animals.
Neat.
I merely voiced my opinion on the matter about how I view them. I wasn’t looking to have a debate over it.

As someone who is involved with furry community, i know when worgen went live every furry and their grandma who didn’t care about faction went to worgen, it appealed HARDCORE to furries considering the most generic fursona is a wolf. the only way it could have appealed more is to have tails and if neon colored fur was an opition.

Yes, but that was on the basis of wolf-people being a thing, rather than an inherent intent to appeal to furries.
Werewolves are a classic in fantasy.
Random Fox people (another main furry fursona) aren’t really.
