I’m not wanting it now, as know it’s coming at some point.
But having just seen how the Draenei and Troll sets were based on Vanilla and BC artwork? Can we… not do that with pandaren?
The iconic set is Chen’s - but it’s his, so we’re unlikely to get that. But then I look at Bernie Kang’s original concept art for MoP and think ‘uh oh’. The non Chen stuff isn’t iconic, isn’t particularly memorable - it’s elaborate at times which is something but… they’re just bulky, with the standard round hat that removes hair, etc.
Akin to many many races who got new sets matching the feel of the race rather than an old piece of art. Orc for example - brand new. Undead - brand new.
If you look around, almost no heritage armor gets a lot of use. It’s just the way it is.
Plus Orcs and Humans have far more lore than any other races to build off of so of course they had a little better sets. Other than thier outfits in WC3 Pandas probably have the least
Yeah, that’s an interesting set. There’s parts about it that I love and parts that I don’t really care for, but I think it succeeds at trying to be a cultural representation of the Draenei… plus, I was really hoping for floating crystals and we got it, so I’m happy.
A visual overhaul for the models would be nice too.
I admit I also wouldn’t want the Pandaren heritage set to look like Chen’s stuff, mainly because he wears regular clothes and I feel like that’d be a bit of copout. I want armor not a black tunic that already looks somewhat similar to the Pandaren/Monk starting outfit.
Depends on the set. Elven ones? They get a reasonable amount I see a bunch of NE sets, but also void elves, Nightborne, etc. And most sets have a few standout pieces - e.g. the Tauren totem or the Iron Dwarf shoulders that people will use.
Then there are the losers of the Heritage race - e.g. Vulpera, Dwarves, Worgen (shudder) and a few others.
I kind of want the Pandaren heritage almost immediately after Remix is done so people who build Pandaren in Remix can “cap” that character with the Heritage quest.
