I have had alts camped at the spawn points of the Zandalari Warbringers for months. They are all level 50. With all of their kills, I still have yet to see a Primordial Direhorn mount drop. Wowhead says there’s a 20% drop rate. Does anyone know if this is just bad RNG, or can characters level 50 and over just not get the drops?
They are closer to 1 in 20 not 20%
Ah, so a 5% drop rate. However, that doesn’t answer the question if it is known if they drop for characters level 50 and over?
I’ve gotten them on level 50+ characters–they are just a pain. When you get a drop or two, all you will get are duplicates–that’s when you start seriously looking at BMAH.
Yes, they still drop. I was missing the Amber one and used a level 50 alt on a quiet realm to farm.
The RNG was awful. I had over 200 kills, I believe, and saw 5 of one color and 7 of another (both of which I had) before I saw an Amber one.
Keep at it. They will come. Good luck.
Thank you for your replies. I’m happy to report that I have gotten two of the three - Amber and Slate - within the last 24 hours! Amber dropped in Townlong Steppes yesterday, and Slate dropped in Krasarang Wilds this morning. Both dropped to level 50 hunters. I have moved my camper now from KW to camping Oondasta because the Warbringer in KW only drops the Slate.
Thanks again!
