Pandaran? Good choice?

Looking for a Horde race that is something other than a Belf. My roster already has more Belf’s than what I would like so trying to look into other races. My first thought was Undead since I see a lot of those and transmog look good on them. My other option was either Vulpera or Pandaren for PvE. So just curious on people’s opinions based on why they selected X race.

Thanks!

I would consider Night Elf but the housing feature has me going 50/50 because everyone I play with is Horde and would like to be able to visit what houses they have setup.

I like my pandaren monk mostly because it is fun and goofy. The mog options are nice but we really do need some basic customization options tbh ( hair colors/patterns mostly ). I like the monk animations though with my panda and generally most mogs work imo. Used to have a pandaren priest too way back when and animations/mogs worked mostly.

2x food buff is nice ( good for shifting stats around early on and good for main stat food that scales over an expansion )

The pandaren incap is neat, it can juke stunable mobs casting and interrupts channeled effects ( if that mob can be cc’d ). Very niche - but neat.

If you arent playing to be top 1% tbh just pick whatever you like the most. Pandaren is fun though, so is vulpera tbh. Vulp has some really neat racials too xD

If you are thinking night elf but want to be horde just go nightborne

Panda are decent options. Their racial’s are pretty unique and could help you in any content you see fit.

However…Transmog options on pandas are…pretty much non existent for me (personally)

If you’re looking at horde:

1).Blood elf is naturally the best over all.
2). Forsaken (my personal favorite) are the OG priests IMO. though they don’t have the updated racials other classes have that could be more useful.
3). Trolls are actually pretty good. Especially if you’re shadow or disc with berserker, that extra haste is really nice.
4). Tauren would be my next pick, as they have more health, increased crit, and an AoE stun which is SUPER USEFUL since priests have very little CC.

Dracthyr or Earthen.

Trolls preferably Zandalari since they stand upright.

Imo it goes:
Belf (sassy humans just thinner)
Mag’har orc (mind the weirdly gigantic shoulders)
Zandalari (not tool bad honestly if you can get past tusks and shoes but still one of the best)
Orc (mind the weirdly gigantic shoulders)
Tauren (both varieties with bull pun names)
Nightborne (just not into crackhead elves)

Then the unmentionables
Panda (stretched belly armor looks terrible on most gear)
Goblins (don’t enjoy the proportions makes armor ulgy)
Vulpera(prettier goblins but same issue)
Trolls (can’t stand up straight of lift heavy thing with that bad back)
Undead (same as trolls but with now optional bones sticking through my pretty mogs)

As a Black man, I have been back and forth about race swapping to Velf from Human. But because I started WoW from back in 2007 to now, I have been extremely reluctant to swap from Human because in a video game industry that is dominated by White males, there just have not been very much representation to be a Black character. The problem makes me remember how Gnomes, Dwarves, and Humans all never really had a lot of options of skin tones for Blacks. Of course Belves and Velves also suffered from this issue as well, until WoW devs did the amazing choice of finally including more African centric skin tones and hair styles. So yeah…I’ll probably always be Human. To me Human just has the best overall representation that I look for when I play video games now.
