So I was just browsing the new xpac info on the website and noticed this detail for the first time in the description of the Isle of Dorn (where the xpac’s neutral city is located): “Discover the land of Khaz Algar, off the western shores of Pandaria and home to the Earthen.” This made me think of the Timerunning Pandamonium that is due in 10.2.7 immediately before the pre-patch World Events, according to the 2024 Roadmap. I’ve been wondering what this event would be ever since Holly Longdale (may she be praised) teased that it’s even better than Challenge Dungeons, but I’m as stumped as anyone.
We’ve recently time-traveled to the Pandaren Revolution in Dragonflight, and a major theme of the Pandaren’s struggle against the Mogu was shutting down their flesh-shaping machines that were producing their armies. That theme is likely to resurface given the description of what Xal’atath is up to with the nerubians. I wonder if Pandamonium is actually a pre-pre-patch event where Pandaria has to fend off a sort of time-travel driven invasion masterminded by Xal’atath that threatens to undo the progress they made against the Mogu flesh-shaping technology. That would of course lead into the jumping off from the western coast of Pandaria into the Isle of Dorn for the next xpac.
