So I started a panda but changed my mind on her looks. She has mail because of the wow anniversary-I tried to rez my mailbox toy and couldn’t. After all these years I still have to play through panda land to get my mail? Do I really have to wait until I pick a side?
You need to create a Ticket to delete the mail or you will need to get through the start zone. Same deal with Demon Hunters.

She cannot be summoned by a Neutral Pandaren still on the Wandering Isle. Attempting to summon her as one will result in the error message “You can’t use that here.”.

Nope that’s the one I tried to use. Wouldn’t let me ,said I could not do that there. I just put in a ticket to delete it. But yes all my toons can use it,just not there apparently.
I rarely delete new pandas, but yeah…that is a real pain.
The other pain, and maybe Im doing something wrong, is not being able to use my sidecar mount in pandaland
Yeah it says “You are not the right faction for this mount” That’s stupid.

I suspect it’s because they’re faction specific, the models and chauffeurs are different for each side and since you haven’t chosen a faction yet, neither fits.

There’s actually a mailbox on the turtle somewhere- Don’t remember where, but I think it’s in the center area. Can confirm this is true as I transferred looms there before they were from a book

I wish it would let us make the choice first thing. Maybe include it in the big changes next year.

The reason why they removed mailboxes from the Turtle is because Pandarens being neutral don’t have Horde or Alliance restrictions on receiving, sending mail. So they took away the mailbox because players were sending items cross faction via their pandaren alts who were still neutral. The easiest solution on blizzard’s part is just disable mailboxes on the turtle until they decided which faction to pick.

Blizzard should really just allow us to delete characters if they have mail. The original restriction was put into place to prevent people from deleting heirlooms before the collection tab.

Exactly, also we now have character undelete and item restoration self services. There is no reason to “protect us” from ourselves anymore. The worst that could happen is you delete a toon you sent a lot of gold to. Which can also be taken care of by putting in a support ticket.
There aren’t any mailboxes on the turtle? That’s pretty silly. I get that they don’t want you to be able to mail items between characters because you haven’t picked a faction yet, but you’d think they would have thought this through a little bit.
