So Activision got you all into locking out classes for certain races behind a pre order pay wall for and expansion we know little about…this has to be the most crooked thing ive seen blizzard do in years…

yep. Anytime they allow early access to a class or race you must pre-order the expansion to access it. Once the expansion releases it will be available to everyone.

This is the same group of folks trying to recoup earnings by just releasing one store mount per quarter.
Tactics like this don’t surprise me at all.

No, they’re giving you early access if you pre order, otherwise you’re welcome to wait until expansion launch. Why should they allow you to play a new class without owning the expansion, what if you never buy the expansion?

I mean… I didn’t rep grind anything. I was doing my campaign to unlock siege and KR and doing ap world quests and just eventually unlocked DIDs and switched over.
You’re just upset because you can’t play a thing you want to and that’s fine; you can play a different race until Shadowlands launches or preorder it like some other folks. It isn’t like you can’t play any DKs at all–which was the case with DHs.
Early pre-order content requires you to pre-order?

We’ve yet to have a single pre-order exclusive, so… this is just like the “play DHs early” benefit from Legion, except it’s just tied to races. Same with BfA and Allied Races. This isn’t a permanent bonus for pre-ordering, it’s just an early bird kind of thing. You’re making a mountain out of a molehill. Much bigger things to complain about

Seriously, especially when you have plenty of better furry races to pick such as Worgen and Vulpera.
So do what I’m doing:
Wait until Shadowlands and then you get your Pandaren DK. You don’t need it right this very second. I want my Mechagnome DK, but I’m also someone who has the CEs so I’m waiting for that for Shadowlands.
Or you can preorder the very base edition and get the preorder.
It’s not a huge deal.
