I am ignorant of lore so this may be the reason, but what about the Pandaren specifically excludes them from becoming Death Knights?
The frighten Pandaren will be running for their lives to the closest flight master or Inn

You know the game died when they added kung fu pandas back in Pandaria, just ask the forums, now wow is gonna be dead twice because they can be death knights.
As far as lore goes there probably weren’t enough Pandaren over on Northrend at the time.
What I’m curious about is if Blizz adds races like Pandaren to the list that can become DKs I’d like to know if they are LK era DKs or new ones. If they are new you would think that would pose an issue with the various good guys on Azeroth but but this is Blizz.

The funny thing is, the very DK starting zone implies that only 1 of each race became a playable Death Knight. Due to the quest where you have to kill your former friend that was captured.
So the whole “not enough numbers” makes no sense when you take that into consideration.
Might have to go back to my MoP group making requirements of not allowing panda players in group.
It means that Triplex will have to contend with pandaren DKs who can pwn his keister. Thus they’re bullying him. I mean, it seems the only pandaren he can kill are lowbies in Redridge, so a level 58 Pandaren would be too powerful for him to gank.
