Pally talent trees

So after looking at all the other classes talent trees compared to ours…good lord they really gutted and screwed pallys.
Guess ill just play my DK in DF.
Because i damn sure aint playing evoker.
Might even learn to play a warrior.
Also, the massive lack of feedback from blizz just shows them going right back to their old ways.

To me the worse one is Pallys, Best Mastery Hunter. Its just filler and majority cost 2/3 point. And Guardian druid who got 0 changes sinse show release

Plain and simple the new pally trees are a travesty lol. There legitimately isnt a single positive addition for ret in DF.

Honestly i had high hopes.
But it almost seems as if they were like…well, we gave yall divine toll, and the ability to get some of the things you used to have, what more do you want?

We were looking at the talent trees with my brother. He plays arms warrior and he had the best time strategizing his tree for his preferred playstyle. The trade-offs were easy and satisfying. There were more options available compared to the current retail.

However, when we were looking at the ret paladin tree, it was full of unsatisfying trade-offs, because it was compromising the throughput.

I have a couple mages at max level but I havent checked them out yet. Are they bad too? Pally tree is downright terrible. Probably the worst of them all.

tbh they are A tier to S.
Problem is gameplay. But in numbers, fire and arcane are really good

Yea well I actually contacted Ghostcrealer a few months ago and asked him to please come back to wow. Im not joking I swear to god I did that. I told him how great he was and how everyone truly misses him. He is a super nice guy. But he said he still likes buffing shamans and nerfing paladins. I kinda hope he does come back tbh.

I really feel you… I shouldn’t have to pick between repentance and devo aura to survive. And why do they think dps needs a battle rez? I really think that should be left to holy

Talent trees are frustration in ways. I had high hopes, that I can get rid of styles of play and spells I never used, in exchange for power and style of play that I prefer. For example, I loved healing and dispelling party members on my prot pally, but I didn’t like Seraphim as a play style. I like passive skills instead of more buttons to press to do the same thing. Focus my attention on healing my party and keeping defense up, instead of executing a 14 spell rotation perfectly… And to some extent, it lets me do that… But on the other hand, it didn’t.

It’s like “increase consecration dmg by 10%, or get 1% strength for 6 seconds after you use such and such spell”. Like… we still have to use both spells, just decide which one is going to do 0.05% more dmg at the end of the dungeon.

It’s also like “Get a shield from Avenger’s shield, or let it hit 5 targets.” Well now it just feels bad. Because I want both. You “could” get both, but you might not have enough talent points to get both, so you gotta pick. This is the same mechanic with just about everything. The problem is two fold:

First, You guys are taking away the basic kit for all pallys, and then asking them to be happy with less than that basic kit. Instead of having a basic kit and adding to it, you had a basic kit and are now asking what we want to subtract from it. The result is we don’t want less than a full kit going into Dragonflight, and are now complaining about it.

And 2’nd, you guys removed holy power generation from avenger’s shield, and as a result divine toll. Now it feels terrible and clunky to play, with all sorts of spells to use (like heals, shields, seraphim, etc) and no way to use them. Give us a damage spender ability, like seraphim for 6 seconds, so we can 1)heal with Word of Glory or 2)Increase tankiness with shield of rightousness, or 3)Increase DMG with a 6 second seraphim or similar. Give us back ability to generate it, and give us more to spend it on, so that we can adjust according to the situation, to do more heals or tankiness or dmg depending on how hard the content is and what CD’s we have available. Why take away from our kit instead of add to it!!!

Final thoughts: Blizzard should listen to the community. We want a FUN class, that can succeed. Look at the queue times and custom dungeon group people make… Never enough tanks and heals, too many DPS. Give tanks more damage, and more people would play them. Same with heals. Feels back trying to quest is the maw as a healer, I have to switch specs… remove that issue. Just give them 25%-30% less dmg than an average dps. People would play healers cause they can both heal when needed, and damage when needed… just like tanks could… if they would just add to the kits instead of remove things from them. I’d like to see ret be able to heal party easily with auto-casted Word of Glories on party members when Judgement Crits or something, or even save the tank with a bubble taunt, or provide other increased utility such aoe stuns, mass dispells, or other things you’d expect a “paladin” or “priest” be able to do. In a world of tons of dps to choose from, you have to pick highest dps and then most utility. If your current spec doesn’t bring utility, you don’t get picked.

GIve Prot Pally more dmg via holy power spenders. Give generation back to avenger’s shield. Give Tanks more Damage, Heals more damage, so that more people pick them. Give DPS more utility in a group setting, so that if a groups heals are weak, they get x dps. If the group’s tank is weak, they get x dps. If a group’s dps is weak, heals and tanks use their spenders and CDs to increase their dmg, so that groups can get through content. As of now as a dps, I can’t get into a group, because I main as a tank, and my alts are dps, and since my alt dps’ers are fighting for a spot against main dps’ers, main dps’ers always get picked, and my alts never get stronger. It’s been like this forever. Fix it! One class not able to compete? Buff them… like survival hunters and DK tanks in S4 Shadowlands. Spec feel clunky and not fun? Fix it. Well clunky and not fun is prot pally with the changes. Listen to the community! Fix it!

Ghostcrawler won’t be coming back to WoW. He’s working on the Riot MMORPG based in Runeterra / League of Legends / Arcane.

THAT game is going to be epic level stuff. I have a feeling he’s working on Demacia and those paladins. We should be getting an update on it in the new year.

You know what i find kinda funny?
The devs have said in their own words that paladin class fantasy is “removing hinderances from ourselves and charging in with our steed”

Thing is with freedom on the talent tree and being a swap spot with bop atm for builds if we dont take it doesn’t that mean half our “class fantasy” doeant actually exist?
