Pally nerfed!

Just as I made one . Do I still bother to level it up or not ?

I fail to see how it even effects Ret in its current state. You are good. I assure you.

This.

I don’t think a 3% nerf will be noticeable. Ret will still be the top dps spec for PVE and PVP.

Blizzard has hated ret paladins, for as long as I can remember.

The top is a stretch.

Among the top if played well in the pve content you partake in. Still plenty of specs that can perform at the same level and even higher outside of a few niche raid fights and aoe situations.

Pvp is where all the main issues are coming from, people expecting Blizzard to balance pvp when they’ve never been able to in the entire existence of wow.

3% isn’t that bad but yeah it’s really annoying seeing other people complain about pally when they literally suck at playing their own class so of course their dps is trash.

This is hardly a noticable nerf, but it is for that reason that they are not done yet.

They’ll continued to get nerfed but they’re still fine for now.

Yes, 3% damage nerf isn’t much and still hardly be noticeable…

BUT…

I highly doubt this will be the last of the Retribution nerfs.

Blizzard is very reactionary to complaining and this nerf will not stop people from complaining that Ret is overpowered.

I’m pretty sure if enough people were to endlessly complain about Moonkin damage they would get nerfed.

Pvp isnt the end all be all. Pve rets say HI.

only thing noticeable is the fading light nerf and id say that fading light was definitely getting some questionably high mileage for how easy it was to build

I think these round of nerfs are for PVE. The next round will be for PVP.

It is almost hilarious how much some people are crying about Retribution. It’s even funnier when they call Retribution players “whiny” or things like that, with no self-reflection, not realizing how hypocritical they look. Or not caring. Either way.

It’s over.

No. They just find it hard to balance a class for bad and average, and professional players at the same time. Low skill ceiling means if you buff them to play at 3000 rating they become OP at 1200 rating. The opposite of certain rogue specs, or some others.

Ret pally damage is not the problem in pvp. Ret has always done a lot of damage and right now their damage profile is not different besides having a 1 min wings which is annoying but not crazy.

The problem with ret is the defensive abilities and number of shields. It is out of control to be able to do full damage while completely immune to anything. That is pure oppressive.

And there needs to be an internal CD on Judgement of the Pure. That talent even after nerf makes pally oppressive to dot classes. At least when hunters had Cravens in SL it had a CD albeit a short one. With the number of judgements they are able to put out and defensives they are now broken.

I don’t think they need a nerf to their damage at all. Just defensives in pvp and they are fine.

I agree with this.

The point of the PvP is to find a key to defeat the other class. Also WoW PvP cannot be 100% balanced as there are just too many classes and specs.

However the current ability of rets to:

  1. Do a solid burst
  2. Have way too many defensives making it really difficult to kite
  3. Self-heals

Make it really hard to counter.

Nope head back to your last class.

As a warlock you’re not allowed to feel the way you feel about these things.
