Pally Healing Confusion on the PTR

Hopefully this isn’t in the wrong part of the forums but I found a gear / spell issue that’s very confusing. I copied a lvl 60 holy pally to the BC PTR using essentially the same gear as I have on live classic anniversary. As usual I tried downranked spells to check my numbers before heading into ramps and noticed that unlike classic anniversary (live), the BC PTR doesn’t seem to be using the “healing power” on my gear for some spells. I went back and checked the live realms and it’s getting full benefits.

Classic live numbers: Healing power 393. Rank 1 Flash of Light (75-87) gives me around 245 healing. Rank 1 Holy light (47-57) gives me around 130.

TBC PTR numbers: Healing power 444. Rank 1 Flash of Light (75-87) gives me around 190 healing. Rank 1 Holy Light (47-57) gives me around 68 healing.

This is a huge change. I didn’t see anyone talking about changes and nobody on the PTR seems to understand what I’m talking about. Am I crazy?

Downranking gets slightly nerfed in TBC. Spells that are learned before like lvl 20 have their healing power coefficients reduced drastically. You can still downrank but not to like Rank 1.

I don’t know the exacts on what spells have full Healing or not.

Try it with other ranks on live and on PTR.

Holy light, and other healing spells, receive a spell power modification coefficient to them in TBC. Check the wowhead link below and you’ll see in the spell details area under “Effect” a SP Mod: 0.205. This slowly increases until Rank 4 holy light where it’s capped at 0.714.

Flash of Light rank 1 is learned at level 20.

Thanks. That was me going off the top of my head.
