It’s animal crossing and stardew valley combined.
Simple really, delays cost money.
Sometimes they’re unavoidable, a delay has to happen because otherwise the game is literally unplayable. In those cases a publisher may approve a delay and give the developer more time and money to finish the game. But if the publisher says no, which happens more often than you’d think, then the game either releases in the state that it’s in, or it goes into limbo until either funding can be secured for it, or the project is scrapped.
ahh… i had’nt thought of that… darn money, being the root of all evil…
I saw this and thought it looks nice but it looks totally different from most MMO’s. I would say it’s for a niche kind of gamer and probably won’t kill any other game. But it looks interesting.
I wonder if you can bait someone into your house and lock them inside with you forever.
You mean that game that’s like Stardew and Harvest Moon? One article says, “focusing on baking pies than killing.” Not sure how many peeps here would try it…I will lol.
I dont see how palia is a WoW killer because it seems like its going to be nothing like WoW, theyre totally different experiences
Forget AMC. I’m investing in “wow killer” topics on the forums.
I’m too old for Animal Crossing.
This doesn’t look like a WoW killer. It looks like an alternative you could play in addition to another MMO. It’s a completely different style game from what I can tell.
I signed up for the pre-alpha list though. Looks interesting.
If you had to chop trees in game - the game is trash
UO had us chopping trees.
Its animal crossing meets harvest moon meets minecraft with actual player housing. Hm…if only it wasnt just human characters.
We don’t need a “WoW killer” mmo when WoW is perfectly able and doing a fine job of killing itself.
How’d this going to kill WoW? It’s a building/social game. WoW is primarily a combat game. They aren’t really the same audience. That’s like saying Sims is going to kill WoW. Looks like a potentially good game but isn’t the same genre at all.
I’ll try it I am sure, but you are looking 2+ years out and it is not in competition with WoW.
Let’s be REAL honest, if your definition is “the servers are off” then, yes, one of those games is truly dead.
But when the other’s economy changes daily and the second only has 1 server up and it’s not even max pop, that’s ded to me (and I played both at both launches).

Yeah, such a shame what EA did to it. I normally do not mind DLC packs too much, but with Sims they just went way, waaaaaaaaaaaaay overboard with it.
