First, the Horde is simply stronger. Not only do they dominate with racials and Shaman utility, but they’ve taken our Alliance racials—what did we get in return? Absolutely nothing. Their synergy in raids is unmatched, and it shows.
Second, Paladins. We’re still stuck as buff dispensers while other classes like Hunters and Shamans bring more utility AND outshine us in DPS. Why are we the “support class,” but can’t compete in damage?
I kind of wish I had a ret paladin for pvp, they seem significantly stronger than enh in PvP. But then I’d have to fight eles, and eles are turbo broken.
The majority of ret brackets(the more defensive and safe class) are within 100 dps difference of enhance and a lot of rets don’t have WF meanwhile shams can’t even use it! so yes it is balance strap on the dress or shield if you don’t like being balanced middle of the pack with us
Yeah, Ret Paladins might seem strong in PvP—until you’re face down in the dirt after an Ele one-shots you from half a mile away. Sure, we can stun, but once that bubble’s on cooldown, we’re basically just a squishy target praying for Divine Intervention.
you’re right alot of rets dont have wind furry… Alliance is struggling to find WF for our raids… Horde has two sources of WF on top of better racials, utility and damage. Enchance is doing crazy damage… they even out dps warriors.
More shaman gaslighting
Game breaking? not falling for your strawman.
They do out damage warriors, have you checked the wow-head logs? they pull ahead in damage done to bosses by a decent amount.
The rets in logs have WF… the ones without are bottom of the barrel dps.
im glad you are not in denial about having two sources of WF

Magmardar the target dummy boss
Warrior averages 150 more dps Ret averages 50 less dps.
Lets use the most accessable information, lets use logs from heat level 1 and then 3 and compare them. Overall both shaman specs (ele and enhance) perform better on average and that is on magmadar as you put it the DPS dummy boss.
Heat level 2 enh shamans are still out performing ret paladins on average by about 200 dps, And then on heat level 3 we are getting gapped still by 200 dps. This is out of all parses on magmadar not “Cherry picking” as you call it. I think comparing numbers between shaman and paladin is important because they are both a faction exclusive class. Also warcraft logs put out a patch for “Padding” on bosses with adds to be removed from your overall parse as far as im aware. So please try again. I play both horde and alliance in SoD and I can tell you right now that shamans feel much stronger to play in the game right now. They dominate in PvP and they dominate in Raid. If you actually want to talk numbers im down, but these wild claims do more to hurt the community than help it.
