Damage dealt while using Divine Shield should be cut by 50%, and Word of Glory needs a 30% healing nerf minimum.

you aren’t any more squishy than any other class. Like just factually. You have an immune instead of a damage reduction cooldown, you have no mana heals, you have BoP, you have an absorb shield… The argument that they are squishy is just nonsense. All classes can die in 5 seconds right now, Paladins are the least likely to get blown up due to defensive cooldowns, and the ability to exit combat with BoF/Steed combo.

I agree 100% that we should revert to 50% dmg in bubble and no physical damage in BOP.

WOG is not the issue, it’s the talent. The only “crazy heals” are on super low HP players because of the talent that multiplies the healing done based on health missing.

This is already nerfed 30% in arena.

Ret players are the most bias players in the history of this game. Not even Destro locks defended their class S4 as hard as rets are now.

Let me ask. Do you deny there are 5-7 really strong classes right now? Do you think Rets are the strongest class in Arena? If they aren’t the strongest (and they’re not), why do you call for a ret nerf and not other nerfs in general? Is it because you just got used to beating up on Rets in BFA and it chaps your butt to lose now?

Just because destro warlocks were kings in BFA s4 doesn’t mean that they were bad at other times. This is the first season I recall warlock being somewhere in the middle of the meta. I didn’t play in Legion or until the end of BFA, but pretty sure locks were great then too.

As you’re totally aware, it’s once in a blue moon that ret is in a good place and this is when the forums MELT. Blizzard will nerf us as usual, the game has been out for like a month at this point and the crying is at an all time high.

People like to focus on ret’s massive damage and healing within wings, but nobody wants to understand that in the state of the game, with everyone else’s class doing big damage and having big defensives, we’re pretty much on par with everyone else.

Folks just aren’t used to seeing ret be good, so their brains are smoothing out at record pace as they begin their trail of tears to the forums.

Ret is just as good as the next meta melee class, if it was truly so problematic we’d see as many rets on the boards as we see priests or warriors, and we definitely don’t.

It’s just the low CR 2’s bracket having a bonfire on these threads, with the occasional player getting dunked on at higher MMR. Literally every single class has big damage right now, this is the meta, it’s great.

I’ll take getting 1shot by an RMP/convoke/chain harvest/etc and having a chance to do the same right back over BFA S4 meta any day.

I think there are a few classes that are stronger overall when paired with the right combo, but that’s always how it’s been and will continue to be. 100% perfect balance is never possible, but my post is about the “faceroll” aspect to paladins. Faceroll simply meaning 1 button/ability is the only thing making a class OP. It should never be just 1 ability in a game were we have hundreds of spells and abilities. So no, it doesn’t “chap my butt” to lose, it’s disappointing to see a game turn in to this with 1 ability. That’s the point.

Tuning is always something that is needed, and maybe the game designers are just on holiday so it’s just been going on too long.

Ret is just the most hated spec in the game. Always has and will be. Not a word on these forums when ret is unplayable in arena, but armageddon when it is.

WoG and the talent… thank you for your clarification on semantics. It’s the same thing in practice and game design. And it’s literally an entire class’s mastery (you know, the thing that makes them unique? i.e. rSham)

I personally sat in Discord and watched a 15 year old warlock CLICK his spells all the way up to 2900 CR. First season warlock, BTW.

Ret’s been hated since Vanilla.
