Paladins phase 2 seal of light

Was thinking tonight on how I’m going to level my pally and I remembered how awesome seal of light is for leveling, then I realized how ridiculous it’s going to be with divine storm and crusader strike. For those who don’t know seal of light give you a chance to heal per hit, something like 25 HP, you can also judge it on a target for a chance to get 30 HP also, and both can give around 55.

With divine storm and crusader strike as extra attacks you’ll be able to get more SoL procs per fight which could also be quite unfair in PvP as the pally can essentially heal 55 HP per hit. 6 second crusader strike CD and I think 15 second divine it’s going to be especially hard to take out a pally now, just imagine a judged SoL and a myrmidon seal, no HP loss and massive damage output lol.

Anyways had me thinking is all

Unfair advantage for Alliance only class? Aggrend wants that!

It’s a chance on hit and as you noted it’s like 25 hp. A chance of getting 25 hp every 6 sec with crusader strike and 25 hp every 10 seconds with divine storm is not a lot. If you’re getting more from divine storm then you have more than one target on you and they will out damage that healing. You’re also losing seal of command damage.

And paladins can already use seal of justice with divine storm to possibly aoe stun people which is probably stronger than using light.

If you think giving up seal of command and it’s judgment damage for what’s essentially a renew is worth it, I don’t know what to tell you.

There will be a need for 3 paladins I think one for wisdom, one for light and one with the libram of furver and rank 12 gloves judging crusader. But I think the light is a constant heal while marter is scales with damage. Talent gives 15%, and gear 53 with 140 base so 214-221 additional holy damage which is big I think. Might make a ret if we get the goats down the road.

As ret damage increases so does damage to hp while light and wisdom should remain constant as aside from enchants and scrolls of binding light you really do not get a way of increasing healing.

There are very few fights were Seal of Light was worth using in vanilla over other seals, as the overall amount healed was very small, it also had lower healing then that provided by the shamans healing totem, which itself wasn’t great. Seal of light also does not scale, and only ever provides the base healing.

From a leveling standpoint, seal of wisdom will typically be a better seal to use since you will gain more mana back, allowing you to use real heals and have less overall downtime, of if you want more damage, seal of Crusader, or simply start with Command as it will make fights a lot faster, preventing far more damage then seal of light would actually heal. While in PvP with paladins being the slowest class will likely find justice a better seal to use.

You think seal of light is op for pvp is where i stopped reading. Heals for 25 when we have like 3k hp at 40 lol

seal and judgement of light has always been a minimal little bonus, but nothing game breaking for sure.
