I know some paladin values had to be estimated on nost, so I wouldn't be 100% trustworthy of private servers. They had to guess on a bit on adjusted values.
But that doesn't mean Blizzard's are either, especially after the 200% spell crit damage tuning. We'll need to really make sure.
Well I hope it's as accurate as can be so I hope Blizzard really gets this tuning done well.

I don't know any classic private server fans who think pservers are 100% correct; everyone knows they had to guess and fill in some missing holes.
But there is a lot that is known precisely about Vanilla mechanics, that private servers get right and this demo gets wrong.
I just watched a level 16 warrior and 16 shaman defeat a level 22 mob in the barrens, and literally within seconds they both passively regened to full mana and health. They were chain killing level 16 and 17 mobs without any downtime. This is crazily unauthentic.
They could run through groups of higher level mobs and never get dazed (supposedly dazing is happening, just rarely), and I never saw them need to eat or drink.
I've always been amazed by how long you've been at this, Theloras. Nice work, my dude.
Almost as amazed you'd want to be associated with duki, who is widely regarded as a lunatic who spent so much time guesstimating holy resistance that it scrambled his brains.

11/03/2018 02:46 AMPosted by Zeliek11/03/2018 01:23 AMPosted by KoresAlso health and mana regen ticks every 3 seconds instead of 5 seconds WHICH IS HUGE DIFFERENCE. and also the base regen is also higher.
I made a troll warrior and he was regenerating 3 health per 3 seconds WHILE IN COMBAT. I was fighting a lv 10 and was HEALING FASTER than I was taking damage.
This feels like Vanilla BETA wow like back before they nerfed Spirit by 200%
Can we get the old Vanilla warrior talent back for 40% in combat health regen? :D because That would be silly to see warriors be Top healer just by passive health regen by stacking OF WHALE gear and ignoring def cap because they could just heal like 400 health per second with all their spirit and have 40%(50% if troll) combat health regen lol. madness.
Warriors in vanilla got higher health regen compared to other classes. Your 3 health per 2 seconds sounds right for the troll racial. There is a base regen amount then you add spirit. Out of combat you should be seeing around 30 per 2. As a hint, warriors get roughly 70% of spirit as regen every tick.
Health should regenerate at one tick per 5 seconds. not 2 seconds. that is the issue.

It turns out that we were actually wrong about Judgement of Righteousness' scaling with spell damage.
It wasn't set at 50% as we thought...
IT WAS ACTUALLY AT 71%

Seal of Righteousness
Rank 1
20 mana
Instant
Fills the Paladin with holy spirit for 30 sec, granting each melee attack an additional 1.2413793103448 to 4.32 Holy damage. Slower weapons cause more Holy damage per swing. Only one Seal can be active on the Paladin at any one time.
Unleashing this Seal's energy will cause 15 Holy damage to an enemy.
http://classicdb.ch/?spell=21084
Seal of the Crusader
Rank 1
25 mana
Instant
Fills the Paladin with the spirit of a crusader for 30 sec, granting 31 melee attack power. The Paladin also attacks 40% faster, but deals less damage with each attack. Only one Seal can be active on the Paladin at any one time.
Unleashing this Seal's energy will judge an enemy for 10 sec, increasing Holy damage taken by up to 20. Your melee strikes will refresh the spell's duration. Only one Judgement per Paladin can be active at any one time.
http://classicdb.ch/?spell=21082
Base damage for rank 1 Judgement of Righteousness is 15 Holy dmg and if Judgement of the Crusader increases Holy damage by +20
with 50% scaling JoR should hit for 25 Holy damage (which doesn't happen) but with 71% scaling JoR should hit for 29 Holy damage (which does happen in the video)
WHICH MEANS THAT THE DEMO IS EVEN WORSE FOR PALADINS...

If you're comparing it to private servers pallys damage on private servers is grossly too high because in their code they didn't use brackets in their math and then also used a + instead of a - in another part. Overall giving paladin damage around 370% more overall damage with seal of righteousness judgement and seal of the crusader.
Palidin damage should be around where it is at the moment with the 2h ret that they started with on the demo. If anything the crit just ruins any form of testing. Dps at level 15 should be !@#$%^- low for every class.

I hope through all of your retarded crusading we end up with being able to judge multiple levels of judgement of righteousness on raid bosses
because then we'll be able to use different levels of sunder armor and curse of recklessness on them to reduce their armor to zero and trivialize the game even further.

Yea things are dying way to fast in the demo because damage is way higher and theres no down time. The only mob I found difficult was the Murloc Oracle. which just kept healing itself.

Yeah this is coz out of combat regen and in combat regen/while not casting is completely !@#$ed. It's something like every 2 seconds instead of every 5 seconds. So you stop casting and 2 seconds later you get a tick of mana regen instead of 5 seconds. Same for out of combat but it seems like every second after the initial 2 seconds. Plus regen amounts in general are far higher. It's like it's using 2.4 mana regen mechanics instead of 1.1 regen mechanics or BC regen. It's way too frigging high and fast. Makes leveling a complete faceroll.
Theory crafting the demo is pointless.
It isnt even indicative of what the final scaling for classes will be.
They even stated they didnt have time to remove lfr from the demo. It is most likely an older build than what they currently have internally.

a more detailed explanation is required perhaps?
Harassing or Defamatory
This category includes both clear and masked language and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:
Insultingly refer to other characters, players, Blizzard employees, or groups of people
Result in ongoing harassment to other characters, players, Blizzard employees, or groups of people
If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:
Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity
Harassment takes many forms, and is not necessarily limited to the type of language used, but the intent. Repeatedly targeting a specific player with harassment can lead to more severe action. The idea behind this is to prevent any one player from consistently being uncomfortable in the forums.
