I highly doubt that they’re going to remove Holy power. In fact, the reddit post doesn’t even really call for that.
His comments are generally true though.
Covenant abilities are a real mixed bag. This is true for every class/spec. Tuning is really needed.
Talents need work as well. Luckily, we are in the “talent and tuning” phase of beta so these might get worked on

Overall though there’s a bit of hyperbole there. While ret for sure needs some attention, it’s certainly not dead and there seems to be a lot of people who like the direction the spec is going. However, like monks in general, they really need Blizzard to come in with a class look and some comments on what they want ret to do.

Holy power works fine with Ret it’s just the whole covenant system,talents and wings. If any Paladin wants to be competitive in raids we are pigeonholed into the night fae cause of how strong the blessings of seasons are and every other covenant abilities are very niche and situational, to where the blessings you can use in almost any content unlike the others.
