I can’t help but think that the Tyr’s guard was absolutely the inevitable setup for “paladins for all,” but it also feels like the emerald dream was a perfect set up to do it for druids.
If we don’t get Paladins now, I feel like it has to happen during the Midnight expansion (light Vs void deal), but man… that feels so far out for something that should have happened like yesterday!
I’m not going to get into how many of the different cultures should have their own aesthetics (they should), but that can roll out slower. Pulling the trigger on the universal class feels like it has to happen soon, and it’s not on the 10.2.7 list.
Would they do druids and Paladins at the same time?

Paladins would be much easier to do than druids that’s for sure. Though there’s gonna be some splaining to do. I don’t care for the majority of classes but forsaken and void elf just feels wrong.

I know that golden human-potential tossing night elf paladins are going to happen instead of silver paladins of Elune, but I’m still going to complain about it the entire way.

It could be 10.2.6 or 10.2.7. The warlock and monk additions didn’t appear on the 2023 roadmap until those patches hit the PTR. The roadmap isn’t exhaustive, just an overview of the main content.

I’m hoping we at least get Paladins and Shamans for all races before DF is over. Druid I can see happening over time. Unless they made a backlog of druid forms all this time.

I could see them doing tauren and nightelf as defaults, and now there is a whole zone with many cosmetic rewards to populate one’s options further. There are also the legion artifact forms to pursue rather easily.
I yearn for all classes for all but for each race to have their own lore and culture around said class. And their own aesthetic.
It would be a great reason to actually use glyphs for something interesting. Letting night elf priests have silver magic etc.

Not really a fan of all races/all classes, but I realize that’s a losing fight. So I was a bit surprised that paladin, shaman and druids for all wasn’t part of War Within’s announcement. The Tyr’s Guard and Emerald Dream stories sure seemed to be setting that up.
