My concern is that Seal of Martyrdom is completely out classed by Divine Storm If you cannot seal twist it into Seal of Command. You were available to seal twist in TBC and it wasn’t broken then, and TBC has WAY better itemization for Ret Paladins. Can we please have it to where we can seal twist Seal of Command into Seal of Martyrdom (or visa versa). It’s very fun and rewarding and It’s not even busted so why not just allow it.
This honestly feels like a bug. Seal of Martyrdom does work properly with all other seals – if you cast it while Seal of Righteousness is active, you can actually seal twist between the two.
It’d be nice if we could get some clarification on whether the current interaction between Seal of Martyrdom and Seal of Command that disallows seal twisting them is just a bug or a conscious design decision. I specifically rolled paladin on SoD because I was so excited about seal twisting again, so it’d be depressing if that’s something they just don’t plan on letting us do. . .
Up to 50% dps gain “wasn’t busted” lol
I’d rather have seals proccing off CS and DS instead.
I mean that’s the beautiful part about having Seal of Martyrdom share a rune slot with divine storm, you’re not “forced” into the playstyle if you don’t like it (which is honestly what I had initially thought their intention was when they were designing hand runes.)
Hell, divine storm is probably going to come out on top in most situations – like fights that have any cleave what-so-ever. If anything, this is the perfect time to bring back seal twisting because people have the option to not do it if they hate it.
They need to fix this bug and re-enable seal twisting.
Sure, if they remove the mana cost on DS it might be possible.
Apparently twisting with SoC is broken in-general. Definitely does not make me want to play Ret because I enjoy the skill expression that twisting allows.
they already do, seal of justice can proc its stun from divine storm and crusader strike. People should be able to seal twist, its not 50% increased damage???
Seal of martyrdom either needs to be twistable or given a cleave mechanic back to it. It originally was going to hit 4 targets, maybe let it hit 2 targets?
Seal twisting only existed as an accidental unintentional result of spell batching. It was never an intended mechanic and it should be no surprise to anyone that it’s gone.
It required addons to do it with any sort of consistency which should be all the evidence we need to realize that it wasn’t an intended mechanic.
Lolno. We need less incentive so we get less scrubadins, not more. Nerf retnoobs.
They intentionally preserved it back when rolling out 1.13.7 on Era, acknowledging it as a fun quirk. With Divine Storm being an option, and the fact without being able to twist with SoC that SoM isn’t going to hold up, why deprive paladins who enjoy the playstyle?
Especially since other seals can be twisted together, but SoC in-particular is broken.
paladins are healers anyway so this is kind of irrelevant
Both of the Ret Derangement Syndrome sufferers posting here? Quite the coincidence.
“They” are not the same people doing SoD. Dont expect the same design philosophy. Personally I think sealtwisting can die in a fire, its boring, degenerate gameplay.
“Wow, two person who don’t like the same thing happened to both post in a thread where they were likely to react to! HURPA HUR DUR.”
Thank you for continuing to demonstrate that anything involving ret paladins is underwhelming.
is that… someone… disagreeing with me?? b-but i’m a PROUD human male ret paladin… the chosen of god… how can this be?? aaaaaaAAAAAAAAHHH SAVE ME AGGREND AND ESFAND
Ngl, im actually kinda tilted at how poorly supported paladin healing is in this phase. No mana return from crits, beacon of light only lasts 1 min and chunks your mana, and both healing runes are locked behind the bs gating.
For a healer class, really feels like heals are an afterthought for raiding.
you’re kidding yourself if you thought holy was going to have anything but an afterthought put into it when the entire idea of this funserver was to move away from paladins being shoehorned into a role (despite the myriad of other classes that people can play they STILL choose to force a square block into a circle hole)
Bring back spellpower ret, it was the true chad paladin. Enough spellpower for efficient heals, while still bringing enough slapp to have some impact.
